Hi everyone,
I apologize if this has been discussed to death already and if someone could point me to the thread that would be helpful. I have and interview with Ross Vet this Saturday and I know I haven't been accepted but just in case: Is a car necessary while living there? Can on get by just biking assuming they live close to campus? Also what kind of support services do they offer outside of the professors office hours? Are there place to get help with material or do students tend to work that out for themselves?

Hey! Transportation is not necessary if you live near campus. There are many options within walking distance. Biking is typically frowned upon here although there are some experienced bikers that still choose to go that route. The locals drive really erratically and pot holes in the roads are constantly popping up. The housing near campus is right on the bus route so it's convenient for going to and from the grocery store and downtown. There is also a shuttle bus in the mornings and evenings that picks up and drops off at various locations where there are high student populations.

There is an amazing academic support system here. There are tutors and TAs that are approved every semester as well as a "student success center" that helps with test anxiety, study skills, etc. I took advantage of tutors and TAs but haven't utilized the student success center so I can't speak about my experiences with that but I've only heard good things. The school really wants you to do well. My class (I can't speak for others) is also super supportive towards one another, through means like sharing online flash card sets, practice exams, study guides, etc. You're not just thrown in the deep end and expected to make it. I mean they don't hold your hand or spoon feed you but I've always felt really supported here.

Thank you so much! I'm such a nervous wreck about moving and I haven't even found out if I'm accepted yet! I'll adjust fine to being away from everything im sure but finding all of this out is great!

So, does anyone have experience with moving dogs through Amerijet? I have two great danes over 100 lbs and this seems to be the only option of bringing them over to St. Kitts.
