Hi! Yes I got the same email and have my interview coming up! I saw you had your interview - how did it go? What questions were asked? I’m assuming since it’s November you would be admitted to start in May?I just got an email asking me if I wanted to expedite my application by moving my start date to the January or May cohorts. Did anyone else get this email?
It’s pretty chill. Make sure to watch the YouTube video they send you on the email beforehand. Have some type of knowledge of Ross and what they offer and why you’d be interested in them. The lady that interviewed me was really nice. They ask about your experience and educational background. For those that had an interview how was it? I have mine coming up and I was feeling fine but now the panic of not being prepared is settling in. What questions were asked? I’ve heard it’s a pretty “chill” interview of getting to know you and then other saying it was very hard!
Can I ask who you had your interview with? I have watched some videos - I like that they offer a lot of hands on experiences, they seem big on research and overall just like the holistic approach (of course grades are important but it's not all a person is). I for sure didn't have the best grades and had to repeat some classes, so I'm sure that will be brought up but happy to explain what happened, how I improved, etc. I think I'm just stressing myself out more the more I think about it!It’s pretty chill. I don’t remember who my interviewer was. I had a moment in undergrad where I didn’t do the greatest and I explained my situation. I also told her that I did a masters to show I can bounce back and that I’m not defined by that moment. It’s really a more relaxed interview and it’s not that bad once it starts. Can I ask who you had your interview with? I have mine scheduled with Jeanne DiPretoro - I read that she does all of the students in the New England area and I believe Canada! Nonetheless appreciate you answering and giving me some insight!I don’t remember who my interviewer was. I had a moment in undergrad where I didn’t do the greatest and I explained my situation. Hi! It went okay. I think I sold myself short tbh but we shall see. It was more so like a job interview than the interview I had with SGU. Ross had my resume and VMCAS pulled up and they asked me questions based on that and then asked other questions based on the answers I gave. Very conversational!Hi! I’m sure it went great, hoping you hear good news sooon! And appreciate the insight!! Will make sure to have my application on hand!Hi! It went okay. I think I sold myself short tbh but we shall see. No. It’s not even in review yetHave you heard back from your interview?
Oh?? Well keeping my fingers crossed for you! My interview is next Monday! 🤞🏼No. It’s not even in review yet
Student Journey (Veterinary) and I think you can just click registerI still haven’t even gotten an email about setting up an applicant portal. For those that found the website on their own, what is it and how did you log in?
Much appreciated!Student Journey (Veterinary) and I think you can just click register
I had that last year before I even had an interview it seems like it’s just part of the portal ? But I also didn’t question it hahaDoes everyone's portal have the "Resend acceptance letter" button under their profile?...
NGL, that's such a terrible button 😭I had that last year before I even had an interview it seems like it’s just part of the portal ? But I also didn’t question it haha
Woohoo!!! You got this! 🤞🏼🤞🏼my application is officially in review with the admissions committee. interview was 2 weeks ago, let's see what happens 😗
Every school will have their decisions out by April at the latest—I believe the deadline for us to accept or decline seats is April 15th for programs starting in the fall. Did they tell you when you would have to commit to Ross if you were to start in May and is it too soon for you to have heard back from your other schools beforehand?I wanted to get an opinion on an issue I realized about my application. I apparently selected to apply for May 2025 instead of September 2025, I have already completed my interview. Should I email and inquire about being considered for the Fall instead of Summer? I applied to other schools such as my in-state so I wanted to hear back from them as well before making a decision if I am accepted.
I wore a black blouse with black formal pants and I did my makeup.I know it’s a virtual interview, but did you wear?
Thank you! I have a white blouse and was going to wear a blazer with black pants!I wore a black blouse with black formal pants and I did my makeup.
They did not say a timeline on when I would have to commit if accepted, though they told me that I should hear back with a decision in about 6 weeks or less. I'm assuming the deadline for accepting or declining a seat for May would be before I hear back from some schools I applied to.Every school will have their decisions out by April at the latest—I believe the deadline for us to accept or decline seats is April 15th for programs starting in the fall. I thought it took the committee 2-4 weeks, but maybe I’m wrong!Does anyone know how long their application was “in review” after the interview? I interviewed 10/29, was “pending” until 11/13 when it went “into review”.
you’re right! it says so on the portal, i was just wondering how long it would be in review for or if the 2-4 weeks only applied to “in review” or the whole thing lolI thought it took the committee 2-4 weeks, but maybe I’m wrong!
great to hear! good luckFinished my interview this morning! It really was more so conversational than anything - she had my VMCAS application pulled up as well and asked questions about my grades, study habits, my overall experience working in the field, and involvement in college clubs. Very easy going! I would also recommend having some questions for them!
Thank you!! Hope you hear soon as well!!great to hear! good luck
Omggggg!!! I'd assume because you can see "reserve your housing" that means you got accepted! Now it's a matter of vet prep or straight admissions, either way very exciting!Omg. It says a decision has been made and then the "Reserve your housing" page pops up when I log into my portal but I haven't received an email yet to see if I was actually accepted, if I was put in Vet Prep or denied..
I would assume so too, but!!! Does the portal automatically update to the next page once it hits "Decision made" or does it only change based on the decision?Omggggg!!! This happened to me like a few days before I got my acceptance call!Omg. It says a decision has been made and then the "Reserve your housing" page pops up when I log into my portal but I haven't received an email yet to see if I was actually accepted, if I was put in Vet Prep or denied..
That I'm not sure! Maybe it just takes the portal a minute to finally update? My portal took a little before it said 'interview complete'I would assume so too, but!!! Does the portal automatically update to the next page once it hits "Decision made" or does it only change based on the decision?
I sure hope it is a straight acceptance!!This happened to me like a few days before I got my acceptance call!
I applied for Fall. I currently work as a research technologist at a university and my position has a one year term, so I can only start in August. I wasn't really willing to budge on that. That I'm not sure! Maybe it just takes the portal a minute to finally update? My portal took a little before it said 'interview complete'
Also what term did you apply for? Because I did say I was willing to start in May, maybe possibly Jan (need to give the Jan start some thought with it being so close - originally applied for Fall start)
Oh that's really cool! But yeah totally understandable, you have a prior commitment!I applied for Fall. I currently work as a research technologist at a university and my position has a one year term, so I can only start in August. I wasn't really willing to budge on that.
