It was really crazy they left us all in limbo for months with nothing but cryptic and generic email responses. I really hope they changed the process for y’all

This seems like actually horrible. I thought me waiting/not hearing anything till Feb 14th for ISU was awhile, but I haven’t gotten an interview as some did which makes me feel even worse. I have no idea when they’d send more interviews out, it seems like it may just be acceptances more acceptances. Idk 🥲 I know it’s rolling admissions so I understand, but def still annoying lol

Thank you for the congratulations! I don't mind sharing at all. I have a 3.77 overall gpa, 3.68 science gpa, 800ish hours of small animal veterinary experience, 60 equine veterinary experience, around 500 hours of animal handling(dog and rabbit) , and about 100 hours of research experience. But I wouldn't compare yourself, I have friends who went to Davis with a worse gpa as well as friends who went to Colorado with much less experience.
 
If I haven’t heard anything at all, even for an interview, is it a bad idea to reach out to them ? Just to make sure they aren’t missing anything from me I guess? Lol

I wouldn't say its a bad idea. I just don't think it would be helpful. At this point, if you were missing something, you probably would have already received a rejection or email. To my knowledge, they don't even bother trying to see if it was a mistake and they just reject you. Regarding the interview, most schools very rarely will tell you the truth about your application and will almost always give a vague answer such as "we hope to send out more invites soon". On their website, their interview process continues through january and we are approaching that so hopefully more invites will be sent out soon.

I wouldn’t worry yet. The admissions office has been closed for winter break which is part of the recent period of silence.
 
for anyone that applied last year, do they send out rejections at the time they send out the waitlist? or is everyone waitlisted and it’s just if you get off the waitlist or not?

For those wondering about acceptances: I emailed asking about their acceptance processes and they told me that they would be extending more acceptances in the days and weeks to come. They didn't say how many batches exactly, but if you have not heard back there are more coming!

Just acceptances or interviews too? Cause I haven’t heard anything from them other then them receiving my Casper score
 
I know of [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]] person that got rejected yesterday so I was thinking there would be a wave of acceptances and interviews yesterday but that clearly didn’t happen

In their email to me they said "in the days and weeks to come." Honestly though whos to say, a lot of vet school will give this generic response, but id have to imagine they'd do it sometimes this month or next.

I interviewed in September a week after apps were due and have not heard a single thing since. I will say i did ask one of my interviewers at that time when we’d hear back and he said if you got an interview early that your application was seen at the top from others but idk how true this is

Speaking from experience last year they used this exact language in every email and it was months before we heard anything lol- not to burst your bubble but I wouldn’t EXPECT much

What email have you been emailing? I know I probably will hear the same things but I am tempted to email them myself as I haven’t heard a peep from them since applying :/
 
Hello! Do we have to send them fall transcripts? If so, will they email us? I know ISU doesn’t email and you have to be diligent about checking the portal - how I knew to send mine. I know LMU doesn’t have a portal so I was wondering if they will want our fall 2024 transcripts. Thank you 🙂

Yes we do send fall transcripts. If you look on LMU’s website they have a timeline of when they’re due and what email to use. I never received an email from them other than the transcript company (Parchment for me) letting me know that my transcripts were received by them

So are people that applied for fall entrance and haven’t heard anything regarding interviews thinking that we probably are not going to at this point? Sorry if this has been answered, I was getting confused on timeline with the two cohorts

I also haven’t heard anything and applied for Fall. I did send them an email specifically asking if there will be any additional interviews conducted for Fall. I was directly rejected from the last year so I know that they will let us know if we got rejected for an interview, so I wouldn’t lose hope just yet!

How many people that haven’t heard a peep from LMU since they submitted their application plan on sending their fall transcripts. I’m debating on doing it now or waiting until the end of Jan to see if I hear anything from them in between.

I haven’t heard anything and I submitted my fall transcripts almost a month ago
 
Do we send the transcripts through parchment or do we send it to ourselves then email it?
 
Do we send transcripts if the classes I took in the fall aren't needed? The courses I took in the fall were to satisfy pre-reqs for other programs I applied to.
 
Does anyone know how many acceptances have gone out for fall and how full the class is?

I'm thinking they sent out 100 acceptances (enough to fill the class) and are just waiting to hear back responses before sending out more. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that last year acceptances were sent out in December and not many were sent out again until after the decision date. So my theory is that those initial acceptances are waiting to hear back from other schools before making a decision and we won't hear from LMU until late March/April, when those applicants have to make their official decisions. Which makes sense, just sucks having to wait! But I hope I'm wrong and we get to hear back sooner 🙂

I feel like I didn’t see many ppl post about it on here or fb tho? Which made me think batches of acceptances
 
I emailed them today about it and they said :
“As for the Fall interviews and acceptances, they have begun to be extended and will continue to be extended in the days and weeks to come. These offers are disseminated by the Dean based on recommendations made by the Admissions Committee.
Please note that any updates to your application status will be conveyed to you electronically via the email account listed on your VMCAS data. I encourage you to carefully monitor your standard inbox as well as your spam folder.”

we thought this last year but the first wave had been sent with enough to fill the class. A ton of people don’t post on social media or even know about these platforms when you think about how many people are applying to these schools. If they’re doing it the same way- more info will be sent out in March/April
