I called the other day to ask regarding my application status. The lady told me they still had not made a decision on mine yet and that the decision would be made within the next couple weeks which puts the notification at the end of January? Should I just assume I'm rejected at this point I havn't heard anything regarding interviews in February.
 
When I called before Christmas, they told me that there were two more interview dates in January and they were looking at mid to late January on telling us if we're accepted or wait listed.

I have not received an interview invite yet. According to the lady I talked to I should be contacted in the next couple weeks, but if there are only 2 interview dates left in January and I don't hear anything till January 20th that doesn't leave much time. She didn't mention anything about them extending interviews into February.
 
Hey everyone. I found out a few days ago that I am invited for an interview. Any tips of what I should wear? or maybe what you wore to your interview would help as well!

I wore dress pants with a nice blouse and a blazer. My shoes had a moderate heel, since you will do some walking during the tour. You wear what you would for any other interview. Business casual, presentable. Not too much jewelry, if any, and no perfume. Dress to impress!

Also, wear your hair neatly pulled back-either half up or all up. It makes you look much more presentable.

Thank you! slightly freaking out. I have dress pants a nice sweater that would be considered presentable with short boots that have a small heel and was planning on wearing a necklace with a small pendant on it. I figured it's still business casual so it should be okay

I would highly recommend a suit coat and blouse instead of a sweater. Much more professional. It's very rare to see anything else.
 
Is anyone else in the same boat as myself?

I am by no means a shoo-in for vet school, but I am a competitive student. Many of my friends, some of which have lower GPAs, GREs, and less experience have had interviews and acceptances to LMU. I have had interviews at other schools, but am really interested in LMU. I haven't been offered and interview, I also haven't been rejected. I am really hoping for an interview and I feel that I am qualified. Is anyone else feeling the same?

Hey everybody! This is my first time posting. I had a question that I was hoping somebody else was wondering or might be able to answer! I currently go to LMU and had an interview with the CVM and am waiting to hear if I was accepted or not. On myLMU (current students know what I'm talking about and any future students soon will!) at the bottom right a link popped up under "My Teams" to "College of Veterinary Medicine" and I was just wondering if anybody else who interviewed has that?? Or if any accepted students have that? The link goes to a page that says announcements, pictures, calendar, and all the contact information for any staff involved with the vet school and other info type stuff. Maybe I'm just overthinking this but it got me pretty excited when I saw it!

Interviewing tomorrow! Any fellow SDN folks in town for interviews? It is so pretty here. Not as big as Austin that's for sure!

Its LMU's undergrad site for students to basically sign up for classes and pay tuition, etc. I'm already a student here so I have access to my account on the site. Are you a current student? If so, look under 'My Teams' and I had a link to LMU-CVM version to the same LMU site

Does anyone know the later January Interview dates? I'm praying they don't have an awful snow storm this year before interviews are finished. Idk if I can wait until March! All of my schools don't announce until mid-March and one doesn't contact until April 15th.

The surveymonkey link they sent me after my interview only has dates out until December. Does anyone else have different dates on theirs? Hopefully interviews are over with soon! I want to know ):

I have an interview with them on Monday.
 
Does anyone know when they will be done interviewing? They said we should have decisions by early to mid-March. Just wondering how many more candidates they're planning to push through interviews before they start making decisions.

At my interview yesterday and from the email I just got I think they have one more day for interviews (22nd). Also they mentioned they were going to try and get out their decisions before March!
 
Check your emails! Interviews will be done next week followed by a lengthy decision making process. Hope it works out for the best for us. I hate 400 of us interviewed and only 100 of us will get in.
 
I interviewed on November 6.

Overall GPA: 3.7
Science: 3.5
GRE: 151/156/4.5 (V/Q/A)

Vet Experience
SA: 400+ hours
LA: 300+
Zoo: 80+

Animal Experience
SA: 200+
Equine: 2000+ hr
Exotics: ~10 hr

Extracurricular activities/Work: Worked at Merritt Veterinary Supplies (vet supply company selling and distributing literally everything you can ever need as a vet) for a year and a half. Worked as a horse trainer and horse camp counselor. Also played high school varsity volleyball and club volleyball, had scholarship offers to several colleges/universities but sustained a shoulder injury. Volunteered at an animal shelter for about 6 months.

My application was pretty average and not really standout but the only odd thing about it is I'm only 20, technically a sophomore in college. I have no degree just all the pre reqs
 
I am assuming it will be the second or third week of February. Right around valentines day.

About what time have they been calling, for those of you who have received calls already? Does anyone know how many applicants are receiving calls each day?

I was called on Sunday, Novsmber 1st around 12:00
 
I doubt there will be any calls until they have made final decisions on everyone. We are so close!! The wait is so nerve wracking!
 
Anyone get a call this past week? In the Dec interview session, they said they would make calls the end of Jan or at the latest, early Feb.

I just spoke to Janelle on Saturday and she said that due to the weather, they still have at least 5 interviews to do. She will let everyone know as soon as she can. when I asked before that they said they were doing interviews until the end of January. So the would do calls in February and everyone should know by March.
 
I just spoke with Genell and she said they would have decisions out late February/early March!
