No....the calls usually occur on a Tuesday, but that is not set in stone. Sometimes its a Wednesday or a Thursday, sometimes a Monday or Friday....but it is usually Tuesday. It all depends on how busy Dr Stowers is that day. There are times he doesn't call everyone that was accepted, and there are times nobody gets a call, but he makes his best effort to call everyone and I think he usually does.
With you having interviewed on the 29th of Feb, your file will be reviewed this Thursday, March 6.....thus, you could be getting a call on Tuesday the 11th. Now remember that Dr. Stowers DOES NOT ALWAYS CALL!!!!!!! Just because you don't get a call doesn't mean that you did not get it...just ask hoss. He did not receive a call yet he got an acceptance letter. So, like I've told many, many people many, many times, if you don't get a call, wait to see what your letter says.
As for file review days...they are every Thursday. Thus, if you interview on a Friday, your file doesn't get reviewed until the following week on that Thursday, and your potential call would be the next week on Tuesday....so that is almost a 2 week wait. If you interview on a Tuesday, your file is reviewed a couple of days later on Thursday and your potential call would be the following week on Tuesday....so that is only a week you wait.
There is a chain of command each file takes in the review process and that Thursday review is really the first step. There are some other steps in there too before Dr. Stowers gets the recommendation of the adcom about a particular student. Once he has those, Dr. Stowers has the final say so as to who gets accepted. So even if the adcom recommends you for acceptance, he can still say no. And before the question is asked, I don't know exactly how many times he has done that. From what I understand, it has been an extremely low number over these two application cycles, low enough where I wouldn't worry about it.
