Source???? I feel like sharing stats like that isn’t a good idea either. We’re all drained and patiently waiting for a call so any negative statements are detrimental.

Also let’s take into consideration they added 50 new seats for each campus so there’s still hope for WL warriors.

Their academic calendar has anatomy boot camp starting on 6/23, orientation 7/14, and classes 7/21. Does this mean we should expect most of the WL movement before the 23rd (if so I don't want to crash out but that is fast approaching) OR have they historically given acceptances leading up to orientation week?

Last year the last post of someone getting off the WL was 7/1. I know another DO school that will pull WL applicants up until the 2nd week starts; not sure if LMU is the same. Hopefully someone can tell us.

waitlist movement can happen at any point up until the week of orientation, as a current student mentioned earlier today. everyone just needs to take a deep breath and have patience! lmu wrapped up interviews last week, we are likely just getting started with waitlist movements

i think this is more due to the fact that DO is finally becoming more universally accepted, and a lot of schools are expanding their number of seats. there were also a lot of new DO school this cycle that contributed to that yield increase (for example OCOM in orlando, burrell’s 2nd location in FL, pretty sure there was a new school in kansas as well, among others)

Anatomy Bootcamp is optional. Not mandatory and was limited to 75 seats per campus. ( I got the acceptance at the Harrogate campus in February)

I can't recall which thread it was (maybe NYIT-NY) but someone said when they say "we" are seeing more WL movement, they're talking about ALL DO schools. I really hope this isn't true but it does seem possible...

I definitely want the WL movement! What I mean is when the DeBusk Admissions office is saying they're seeing WL movement, I want that movement to be at DeBusk; not just across all DO schools.

I'm sorry but that is very unlikely that they are talking about all DO schools when they say we. It would be a stretch of your imagination to believe that LMU, or any school, would speak on the behalf of all other DO schools when talking about waitlist movement.

Everyone just needs to take a deep breath. This interview cycle, specifically for LMU was longer by three weeks. Last year the last interview was May 3rd and this year it was May 23rd. It was until 5 weeks after their last interview that they started to have large movements, I would expect the same this year. I want to include myself in this as well, we are only here in this position because we are lacking something in our application. GPA, MCAT, extracurriculars, whatever. Every person here knows that. Instead of panicking about what may or may not happen, start building your app for the next cycle and take the appropriate steps to improve. Reach out to places you got rejected and see if they offer advice. Ask the pre-health committee at your school if they can help. I don't say all this to be rude or demeaning, but I have seen just the most outlandish stuff the past two weeks about the craziest speculation that is most likely untrue. It has been a long journey for us to get to this point, but it is an even longer one to get to be a great practicing physician. Panicking about what you cant control does nobody any good.

I didn't take it as rude/demeaning. I'm also not freaking out. Now that interviews are over; this cycle is out of our hands and whatever is going to happen will happen.

If anyone saw the posts online about LMU trying to admit 2025/2026 applicants rn, dont freak out. There is a guy throwing around misinformation on reddit about LMU doing this, and making a lot of assumptions because other schools (ICOM, OCOM) are admitting 2025/2026 applicants for spots left for 2024-2025. When I asked him for sources multiple times, they never responded.

I wouldn't take this to be the word of the messiah but this other person actually inquired about this claim to LMU. Apparently it was all a hoax. Just wanted to share this to ease some people's fears. I am sure those who wanted to apply late would've already interviewed in April/May.
