Messed up in dual enrollment and some in college somewhat upward trend
  1. cGPA: 3.4 and sGPA: 3.85 (Difference due to engineering classes not in sGPA however I was biochem before so I have significant science credits as well)
  2. 526 (132 C/P, 132 CARS, B/Bch: 131, P/S: 131)
  3. North Carolina
  4. South Asian
  5. T60 university with joint program with a T30 (Degree and transcripts have 2 school names)
  6. EMT: 1,200 hours and volunteering at rural clinics ~500
  7. 2,600 hours of research mostly biostats/comp bio resulting in 6 national level poster, 3 oral presentations and 4 pubs (all mid author)
  8. 45 hours shadowing neurologist and 100 hours with cardiologist
  9. ~800 hours of creating prosthetics and toys for disabled children
  10. Internships in biomedical engineering, data science internship at national labs, taking care of family members (elderly)
  11. None
WAMC and what is a good school list? I am applying next year and I want to know if I should pursue more volunteering? Any tips?

Welcome to the forums.

What is your purpose as a physician? Do you see yourself more as an engineer doing medicine or a doctor doing engineering? What about risk medicine?

I see myself as a engineer doing medicine I want to use what I learn to inform and potentially help develop new medtech to help patients. While shadowing a cardiologist he informed me that is a consultant for startups for medical domain knowledge and testing new devices and he provides feedback and input in development while also working with patients. That kind of work really resonates with me. The MIT-Harvard HST program seems like something that is exactly what I want to do but my GPA and academics makes it hard to aspire for that.
