The Banana Republic non iron shirts are nice. They come in classic, slim, and tailored slim fits. They "retail" for $80, but 40% off sales are the norm for them. You also get a 25% off coupon that stacks with their usual sales when you sign up for the making list. I've gotten most of mine for somewhere around $30-35, which is a great value for what you're getting.
My problem with Banana Republic is that you can only get the tall sizes online. Maybe it's just me being an old foagie, but I have a hard time buying clothing I haven't tried on first. I'm only 6'2", and I admittedly do have a few of their shirts, but they are all too short to reliably stay inside my pant-waist. Also the sleeves usually come up short too, so the shirts I do have are reserved for the untucked-sleeves-rolled-up look. Not great for rotations.

If you like the shirts aside from the lack of tall sizing available in-store, I'd still recommend trying a tall size via online. Worst case scenario is it still doesn't fit to your liking, and returns are free.

Yeah I never understand people's apprehension to online purchasing. Nearly everyone has free shipping deals and free returns

Go into the store try some stuff on see what sizes and styles fit go home and order online anytime you see a sale

That one trip to the store should save you a lot of headaches etc in the future

You missed the part where he said the "tall" sizes (which he would likely require) are apparently only sold online and not in stores.

It's much easier for me to order something online, try it on at home, and ship it back from a UPS store than it is to find time to make a trip to the mall
I guess, although you have to drive to a UPS store. At malls, there are retail people who can measure you, tell you if something fits well, and tell you whether it looks good on you (unless you have a wife then the latter part is taken care of).

For women, I'm sure they also like to visit other department stores so they can buy things they didn't necessarily intend to buy, so there's that.

I probably will try a few from online. It's sad I don't have access to any "nice" stores (although I do really enjoy living where I am). Macy's and Men's Wearhouse are both 45 minutes away, and that's about the best that I can think of.
