Midwestern GPA Requirement

Hi!

On Midwestern's website it says "A minimum science and minimum total GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale". I assume this means they won't look at anyone with lower? I know some schools have a minimum and then say they'll at least look and evaluate students with lower GPAs. Is it worth applying to Midwestern with lower than a 3.0?

I think they automatically disregard applications below a 3.0, but you could always email admissions to double check!

I am almost positive they disregard those below a 3.0 immediately, unlike some of the other more holistically based schools, like U of A, that let you know (at least from what I've heard so far this year) that you are below their normal GPA cutoff but they will keep your application for further evaluation and go off of that.

Although Midwestern is one of my top choices, I honestly wouldn't risk the immediate rejection when there are so many other amazing schools out there that don't rely so heavily on a specific GPA range. Not that MWU isn't an amazing school, but it is already ultra-expensive since it's private, and the VMCAS fee's aren't exactly cheap either.
