Miniature Speed WW Sign Up & Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So, this game was a bit difficult to balance --

  • Small speed game, so if anything should be a bit wolf-heavy vs normal
  • Game started with just Finn as wolf -- she was given a convert option with 3 attempts to offer convert or die, which should have made the game wolf-heavy with 2:7
  • Village had 3-shot protect and 2-shot track to (presumably) balance the conversion (Went back and forth on that second one a lot).
Was right in the middle in terms of numbers -- 10 players would have been a lock for 2 wolves and the village PRs would have been nerfed.

BUT --

  • Roles were 100% RNG
  • Finn did get a cover role (long haired chihuahua) // dubz already had one from starting the game vanilla
  • Role PM formatting was the same for all players

Couldn't have been me, I wasn't introduced until today and there have been kills after dubz died. I wouldn't have been subbed in unless Sporty was actually inactive. Therefore, remaining canidates are AM, you, or genny
Reasons why sporty shouldn't have gotten a sub 😛

Wait this game is skewed against the wolves if there’s only one original and one convert. Should be two original wolves imo
It was essentially supposed to function as 2 original wolves, with even more of a wolf advantage.

As an aside, if Finn had gotten lynched D1, someone would have been RNG auto-converted.

Actually, conversions are more powerful. Village simultaneously loses while wolves gain. Bonus if they already are already have a village looking history in the game.

Eh convert is worth as much if not more than an original (usually)
I did not play it well because I was mad about the screenshots. I had intended to claim seer if I was up for lynch, forgot about it because I was busy being salty.

What about two originals and a convert? Idk it feels like village was overpowered here

I don't know why anyone ever thinks me creating ties is wolfy though. That is, again, 100% a village dubz move. Not that I couldn't do it as a wolf, but it shouldn't be used as a reason to think I'm sketch.
Yah, I didn't want to vouch for you there but creating ties a very dubz thing to do

See I know none of this. Like how? Teach me your ways. Mostly cause I have no clue on photoshop
not even on photoshop. just a fun feature of google chrome. the layout has changed a bit since they made this post but it gives you a decent tutorial. Friday Fun: Use Chrome to Create Fake Screen Captures
deleted alerts and changed post text in the second. Changing the time stamp is the same method.

This would be an extremely high wolf:village ratio.

It's hard with the smaller numbers because there isn't really anything to absorb the differences, if that makes any sense.

I actually felt pretty good about the wolves' chances right after the conversion.

Yes. Again, not something I am sure I would like to encourage at this particular time considering it just broke the game I set up for you all today 😉
nooooot saying it should be used just that its possible to fake them really easily, which is why im not a fan of screenshots being allowed. it also puts other people on a more level playing field if they know theres a way to fake it when they're allowed to be used. just like telling people how to change the message of a quoted post to make it seem like something said something they didnt in a pm.

I mean, we could also go another foolproof route and make role revealing illegal altogether so everyone can hold their roles without fear of being persecuted.

Oh -- and for anyone who was interested in tie mechanic:

It was a double roll:

First Roll: 1 = 1 player dies, roll again to see who dies; 2 = both survive
Second Roll: RNG based; players were assigned #1, #2, #3 based on where they appeared in the lynch tally. Mel was assigned #1, which was what came up with my dice roller.

I like a 4:1 village to wolf ratio. So 10 players would have been ideal, because 8:2 is perfect. Two wolves works for a game this size, and boosting village powers a bit was appropriate. What tilted it was the screenshots and the sub. The sub in and of itself would have been fine, if coop hadn't been able to make the argument she did. Only way to avoid that would have been to say that actions would be RNG'd if not submitted from the beginning. Or, to go with the modkill.

Ok this makes sense, thanks!

I mean, in a logical world, I would have either claimed seer or posted a screenshot of the role I had (which was village). I am not a logical player. That is on me 😛

Also would like to say that my vote for finn was totes legit, and the only reason I continued it was because I thought it would look sketchtastic for me to switch off of her without reason. Assumed that it would be stated that I was a convert when I died. Since it wasn't...and nobody was even discussing conversion...I would have been less worried about that and gone with my non-bussing methods if I had known. Alas.

I'm working on two games that specifically void role-revealing as wolfhunting/lynchdefense

Lies, just admit that even as a Mod you want to see me die 😛
