K good. Then let's stop telling people with 2.5s and 100hrs experience that they will get in. I just want truth, not false hope.
Instead of telling me how mean/stupid/socially inept i am, why don't you just help me? Tell me the truth. I don't need your hugs because they will not get me into vet school!
Okay,
I'm glad the name has changed and all, and I hope that the attitude will go along with it.
Speaking as a multiple time waitlister, the intent of the thread wasn't so great.
There a reapplicants and non-trads on this forum who work very hard to get those interviews and get into vet school. I can understand the enthusiasm to get on the board and make some waves, but I would recommend doing a search (of the accepted applicant threads, at the least) before making blanket judgments that the ad coms obviously don't agree with.
To answer the OP, A lot of the statistics will overlap, because applicants apply to
more than one school. The same person could be counted at all of them, if they could afford the application and supplemental fees. I think we have a pretty good representation of the applicant population, including the lurkers

.
I sincerely think that the ad coms look for different things, in different years, with different gpa averages. The application cycles and questions asked are similar, but never the same, so you can only be the best applicant you can be for that given cycle.
Oh, and...
Try to be more open to people.
Unless you plan on applying to places that don't give interviews, you will need to work on how you present yourself to someone else. Even then, you'll need to interact with some of these people, later. Vet med is a very close knit and team oriented profession. You'll be seeing the same people in CE and conferences for the rest of your career.
Good luck.
P.S. Twelvetigers
this for you.
