What program did you get into for Berkeley?

Is anyone waiting to hear back from Berkeley's Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Program? I live in Berkeley so I'm hoping to stay in the area but I did get into Columbia on 2/04 for Population and Family Health. I applied to these two and SFSU but between Columbia and SFSU I definitely think I should go the Columbia route.
I got into Berkeley for maternal, child and adolescent health on 2/5 and applied 12/5.

To those who are attending the Emory financial aid webinar, did you guys have sound? My audio keeps saying “the webinar will begin shortly” but I can see the slides.

This morning columbia offered me 5k in need based aid... and tonight Emory offered me 75% tuition and 2.5k REAL + 2k practice experience award! What a WILD day!!
Congrats! I called about finaid at emory today and they said I would hear back in March....did you submit any other forms besides FAFSA?

Thank you so much! I didn't submit any forms besides FAFSA, however I've been in Americorps for two years and have a ridiculously low income, so that may have contributed to the tuition coverage.

Hi everyone! Long time lurker here 🙂 So far, I've gotten into Tulane and BU, both for Health Policy. I've read some unflattering things on here about BU - but what are people's thoughts on Tulane?

Does anyone know class size / average age stats for either program?
If you have the opportunity to go to their admitted students day I would recommend it! I went last year, and while I ultimately decided not to attend Tulane, the admitted students day was a super great crash course on the program and was actually a lot of fun.

5k a semester/year/total?

Is anybody planning to establish residency to get in-state tuition for the second year if you choose to go to a state school? I'm mostly thinking of doing this if I end up at UW or UNC, but I'm not sure how feasible it is

Hey, long time lurker here!

Does anyone have any insights on UCLA's Epi program vs Yale's CDE? What are some pros and cons of each?

Hello. I applied to the accelerated MPH (HPM) in Columbia. Today I got an email from the director asking for an interview ( I have not received admission yet). Anyone in the same situation?? I received an email some time ago telling me that for the accelerated track there were no interviews. Help please!

I've heard that this is very feasible/easy for all UNC students and they help you to establish residency. I've heard it's almost impossible in Washington state, however (from someone in the health services dept)

Does anyone remember about how long after your acceptance to GW you received your financial aid package?

What if I can't attend? Do you have any advice/opinion?

I was accepted on January 9th and got my package January 28th, however I needed to email them because I didn't receive it within the two weeks but apparently they sent it and it just didn't go through. When I emailed them they responded within 10 minutes so definitely reach out if you haven't already!

Hi everyone, congrats on all of your acceptances! Has anyone heard about financial aid for the MPH program at Hopkins? And is anyone else still waiting to hear about financial aid for the accelerated MPH at Columbia? I received the "See what's new in your portal" email from Columbia but there was nothing new.
So I spoke with the MPH admission office and they said that scholarships will be decided by the end of the month.

Just received an email about Emory merit scholarships!

Could everyone who has heard back about scholarships from Emory please let me know when your FAFSA was submitted? I feel as though I am an above average applicant so it's making me nervous that I have not heard back yet. I make a pretty good salary now, but I hope admissions will realize I will be out of a job if I become a full-time student lol!

To the people hearing back about Emory aid, did it mention in your acceptance that you will be hearing with X amount of weeks for scholarship/funding information?

Hi! So I went to UNC for undergrad and the residency requirements for North Carolina are basically to have lived in the state for 1 year. So as long as you get the ball rolling switching over your license and other things to NC once you move here for grad school you should be considered a resident for your second year. During my time at Carolina I spoke with some grad students and the programs that they were in at least were very enthusiastic to help the students establish residency. Gillings actually has more detailed instructions right on the website about establishing residency.

Did anyone here apply to MS in Epidemiology programs at Yale through their Graduate School of Arts and Sciences?

Thanks for the info! The Washington requirements definitely seemed more strict than the North Carolina ones

That's great to hear!

For everyone hearing about financial aid from Emory, congrats! Have you been hearing across all departments? Curious if anyone's heard from HPM yet.

I submitted my application 12/20 for MSPH GLEPI (received 1/3), was accepted 1/30 and received the email with the merit scholarship award on 2/12.

My acceptance letter didn’t mention anything about merit scholarships but around the same time they sent an email with a timeline on when to expect to hear about funding. This email mentioned merit scholarship notification and other institutional funding are sent out via email mid to late February- March with Emory financial aid not being released until March. I hope this all helps! Good luck to everyone!!

Just to let everyone know, I contacted UC berkeley about the Epi/Biostats timeline and they said they will be done reviewing tomorrow.
Should hear back within the next two weeks after that.

She didn't explicitly say it, but perhaps the first word will come out tomorrow but definitely next week!
Good luck everyone
