Also, the admissions lady from Tulane sent me an email at like 6:30pm saying I got accepted to that school. They can send decisions out at all hours of the day

Yes, but I think other people who checked their portal were able to see their official decision letter. The confusion for a lot of us is that we can see the admit portal but it does not include our name, an option to see our official letter or submit a deposit, etc.

For Columbia, I'm going to say 90% sure only people that have information filled out under "Your Program information" have been accepted. If it's blank, just assume you're still under review.

I mentioned earlier that I have been checking this specific page for a while bc someone had posted a screencap of what the accepted page looks like with the url in the screencap sometime last week-ish and my page hasn't changed in the days since I started checking it. Just a redirect from the applicant to the admit page now.

I will say that Umich HMP made a mistake on my portal (similar to Columbia??) and told me I was accepted. Later that day the acceptance was missing and I emailed the department and they told me I was actually rejected. It was super messed up because I told everyone I had gotten in 😩 I’m sending you guys good luck that it’s not a mistake!!

wow thats messed up tbh. Thats a big error on their part.

I think it might be glitched or delayed because they probably hit "send" on a mass decision release.

For those waiting for an email from Columbia, I never received an email to check my portal. I checked my portal one afternoon and saw my decision, and I think the system didn't send me an email since I did that.

Similarly, the letter from my dept (SMS) on my portal, isn't addressed to anyone and is generic.

I'm not sure everyone else's experience, but this was mine!

I think this is most people’s experiences so far :/ generic acceptance letter and no email to check the portal. I sure hope they get it situated soon

It would be cruel if Columbia really did make this big of a mistake.
To make up for it, Columbia should allow y'all to keep the admission with a nice financial aid package to cover the emotional distress 😉

It really would. If this turns out to be an error its on them. They should fix it by letting those people keep the admission.

I finally heard back from another school!!! Kind of. I applied to the Department of Community Health Science at UCLA, but I just got an e-mail saying I might be a better candidate for the MPH for Health Professionals weekend program... Does anyone know if this could be a good or bad thing? And is a "weekend program" worth as much as a full-time program?

I don't know if I'm going to be rejected from the Department of Community Health Science, so I'm not really sure how I feel about this. Any advice would be appreciated! And congrats to everyone receiving admissions so far! 😀
