MPH / MSPH 2021: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected, Attending

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Are you able to see the decision letter? Whenever I click the link nothing pops up, but I see status: admit and an option to pay admissions deposit so I am very confused.
Not yet! I have the same options so I’m pretty sure that means it’s an acceptance cause it has the option to accept, decline and pay admission deposit. I’m gonna check again in the morning to see if the letter is uploaded!

Check in the morning, really???? Your handle has "dreamgirl". I am pretty sure you will be checking around mid-night or later 🙂

I applied Emory Epi on 12/1 and routed for review on 1/8. How do the acceptances roll out? Have any Epi people received notice yet?

Your application should be forwarded to your second choice, correct? Or is this decision final? But do not worry, you certainly have a place somewhere else better.
They always route your application to 2nd,

and if necessary, 3rd choice. Did you not pick a 2nd and/or 3rd choice on your app?
I only chose epidemiology so it will be a final answer of Reject.

I figured it must be that to get a final reject so soon. Otherwise, it would be impossible to get a final reject on the first round like that.

But I noticed you have got quite a few acceptances elsewhere as good.

Figured I should post just in case others are in the same boat as me since I found these helpful

whats your top choice? just wondering since we applied to similar schools and I'm in the same boat about having a low GPA 😕

I did not submit GRE to Columbia. It was not required.
yeah i've just been noticing people who did getting faster acceptances (not just this school) but it might be in my head

Does anyone know a good way to negotiate financial aid offers/ scholarships ? or is that not a thing
easiest way is to get a higher aid package from a different school and use that as leverage to the school you want to attend. You would ask them to match another aid package.
For asking without this leverage idk and would like to know as well. I personally emailed UIUC about this situation and they told me that is IS possible to increase your aid after admissions is over so that the school knows how much money they have left to spend.

I didn’t see that part on the SOPHAS application. Should I reach out to them?

If I remember correctly, you make the choice in OPUS. I did not know about the 3rd choice. I only did 2.
