MPH / MSPH 2021: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected, Attending

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Has anyone heard from Brown yet? i’m gonna assume no. i’m going to bu but if Brown gave me better funding which I doubt I would go there since i’m in-state!
also for anyone who’s curious providence is a cute little city for people not from there. i always tell people it’s good if you want a city feel but you’re not keen on living in a major city! also very close to many beaches but it’s lowkey necessary to have a car if you’d like to explore the state! 🙂

Hey! It was in my acceptance email. I did not apply for anything extra. They just gave it to me. I've also only seen people get the MTS so far too. Here is a screenshot from my acceptance letter.

That's awesome, your stats are great so I'm sure it was merit-based 🙂 When did you apply if you don't mind me asking?

I emailed Brown to inquire about application updates and this is what I got:
"Your application has been reviewed and is currently being reviewed for scholarship aid. You should hear back from the department shortly. "
when did you apply?? omg

Just got accepted from JHU full time MPH program. Applied on 11/30, verified and completed on 12/8. Since it's just a one-year program, does that mean they probably will not offer any scholarship? In my acceptance letter, it says "You will receive more detailed information from us within a few business days." So I wonder if it's about scholarship.

Fully rejected from Emory. Thats fine because I committed to NYU already. Waiting on Columbia and Pitt now then life can move on.

Rejections don't phase me.
I kind of feel this. Don't get me wrong, people are absolutely allowed to be upset about not getting in where they want. But I truly believe life works out the way it's meant to, and persistent people will always find a way. A rejection is just that, and allows us to follow other opportunities that may even serve us better in the long run. Keep your head up, better things are coming! 💙

Exactly. I know they will be missing out on a great applicant. Honestly, I think it was mainly my GPA. That's fine, NYC has plenty of opp for Epi grads.

hiii guys, just got an invitation to interview for dartmouth. can anyone who has interviewed so far tell me what the experience was like? im kind of considering withdrawing my app completely since i dont think id even go there provided i now have options that are better for me, but i might as well give it a shot! thanks 🙂

Hi! I was recently accepted to NYU (community health science and practice) and CUNY (community health). Does anyone have any advice on which to choose?
