Accepted to WUSTL for Healthy Policy Analysis last night!
I submitted my SOPHAS 11/24, verified on 12/1, and Berkeley emailed that my application was complete on 12/1Congrats!! When you applied?
I am facing the same stress... I'm trying to find external scholarships to apply for because I just can't justify being 70k+ in the hole for this degree...🙁Got my scholarship info from George Washington ($8,000 total, $4,000 each year) and it's making me not very optimistic for very good scholarships from other schools 😞 - happy to get something but it definitely doesn't really make a dent in the huge tuition!
How long did it take for you to hear about scholarships??Got my scholarship info from George Washington ($8,000 total, $4,000 each year) and it's making me not very optimistic for very good scholarships from other schools 😞 - happy to get something but it definitely doesn't really make a dent in the huge tuition!
It took me about a month to hear back from GWU. However, I got my acceptance letter before the holidays so it took longer to hear to back from fin aid.How long did it take for you to hear about scholarships??
I got accepted on December 10 and heard about the scholarship today! How long did it take for you to hear about scholarships??
Hello, I applied before the priority deadline and was accepted Jan 28thHas anyone applied to UCSD MPH and heard back yet? I applied during the standard deadline period, but was wondering if anyone heard back from priority period or after!
Yess! I got into MPH HPM at Columbia on 1/27. I applied to the program on 12/1 and got interviewed on 1/5. Let me know if you have more questions!Has anyone heard back from columbia MPH HPM?
Congrats on both of these! You can’t go wrong with either of these options - especially if your goal is to go to med school. I’d get a sense of how the current students there like it and also see what extra curricular opportunities exist that you can join. A lot of it comes down to location for some people. NYC is great but expen$$$ive (if that matters to you). Baltimore may not be as fun a place to live but it’s cheaper, the Hopkins MPH is fantastic and there’s a lot you can do to set yourself up well for your med school apps. If Columbia was your dream program, personally I’d go there unless the Hopkins peeps convince you otherwise at 2nd look eventsHello everyone. I recently got into Columbia's mph program in HPM along with JHU's MSPH program in Health Systems. I was set on attending Columbia but my ultimate goal is to attend a med school and now I am extremely confused. Also, NYC vs Baltimore. NYC is obviously great but I did not hear good things about living in Baltimore as a grad student. Please let me know if you have any insights.
Yesterday the scholarships came with the admission letter.Anyone heard back from JHU about scholarships?
Which MPH course did you apply to - 2 year or 1 year?Yesterday the scholarships came with the admission letter.
MSPH in International Health, 2 yearWhich MPH course did you apply to - 2 year or 1 year?
That’s great! I applied to MSPH in International Health as well 1/15 still waiting for the admission decision!MSPH in International Health, 2 year
I think all people receiving 75% scholarship for this program
No not yet.Has anyone heard from NYU?
still waiting as wellHas anyone heard from NYU?
I heard back from Yale within a week. It was quick! They say it takes between 5-10 days. How long did it take people to hear back from Yale on financial aid and scholarships? Or have people not heard back yet?
Same here! I think they have limited merit funding to disperse, so what we see in that email is basically what's available to us. But the opportunities there (like the START RAship) are very attractive! I think they have a smaller cohort than a lot of schools too which is attractive to me. And I would LOVE to live in Seattle.Did anyone else here apply to the UW Epi program? I only got accepted yesterday and am already super impressed with their communication (they just sent out a lot of info on funding, etc, the admissions had much more info than the other acceptances I've received). I wasn't super heavily considering them before as I was originally wanting to do a program where I could keep my job, but am definitely pretty interested now!
Oof okay, today would be a week since I heard but I guess i need to give it until the end of this week still...I heard back from Yale within a week. It was quick! They say it takes between 5-10 days.
I just heard this afternoon! I was accepted in mid-December.Anyone heard back from JHU about scholarships?
do you mind me asking how much?I just heard this afternoon! I was accepted in mid-December.
Congratulations!Exciting day today!!! I received my official acceptance from Yale Advanced Professional MPH in Health Policy (submitted 12/1, app rec'd and complete 12/14) and just received notification from JHU of their Dean's MPH Scholarship! Just waiting on Harvard now but JHU only gave until February 21 to accept or decline the scholarship so I'm getting a little antsy lol
Notified it was complete on 1/4 and I heard my decision 1/26How long did it take to receive a decision from Yale since the receipt of ‘complete and under review’ email?
Thanks so much!Notified it was complete on 1/4 and I heard my decision 1/26
I was accepted on 1/27 for Epi at Columbia! But they do batch acceptances, so don't stress 🙂Any rejections/acceptances from Columbia for Epidemiology?
Hi, I was accepted to that program on 01/27hi everyone - any acceptances/rejections from columbia population and family health mph program? thanks
In the 2021 cycle, I heard back from Michigan HBHE at the end of December. I don't think checking in would hurtHas anyone that submitted their app on 12/1 to UMich heard back? Specifically Health Behavior & Health Education? They said they were reviewing apps in Dec. and that they'd get back in 4-6 weeks but haven't heard from them or seen too many others on here say they've heard back. Thank you!
For the 2021 cycle, I submitted right before the deadline and it was complete/under review soon after that (if they had two deadlines, I would've done the earlier one.. I can't remember the date) and I heard back beginning of March - accepted. That was pretty late, though, I think. Most people I want to say heard in February, but I'm not positiveHow long did it take to receive a decision from Yale since the receipt of ‘complete and under review’ email?
I'm not sure about Yale's waitlist process. But don't get discouraged! There are so many good MPH programsI got waitlisted for Yale health policy. I am not sure how I should feel about this. Does anyone know what are the chances I'll be taken off the waitlist?
From the 2021 cycle, it sounded like awards ranged from $20,000 - $60,000 for both years (so $10k - $30k per year). There were some people who were awarded $10,000 for both years (I think). And for the 2020 cycle, I heard few people were awarded nothing. I think around 2 weeks after getting in they shared scholarship information. At least for me that was the caseHas anyone heard back on funding for yale mph yet? I'm wondering how much they award people and how long it takes for them to notify you
I submitted my application for HBHE on 11/30 and heard back on 1/21. On their site, it says it takes up to 8 weeks for decisions. I'm sure it's taking them longer because of the holiday break but you should be hearing back pretty soon!Has anyone that submitted their app on 12/1 to UMich heard back? Specifically Health Behavior & Health Education? They said they were reviewing apps in Dec. and that they'd get back in 4-6 weeks but haven't heard from them or seen too many others on here say they've heard back. Thank you!
