Does anyone know if BU has any wiggle room on aid and you can negotiate scholarships? I got a 25% scholarship but was hoping for more
i think you might be able to! it’s always worth a shot and the earlier you ask, the betterDoes anyone know if BU has any wiggle room on aid and you can negotiate scholarships? I got a 25% scholarship but was hoping for more
From Mid Feb onwardsDid anyone else apply to any of Harvard's MS/MPH programs? Do we know when we should hear back?
I have friends who did politics as their bachelors degree and went straight to JD. I know a couple of programs have MPH/JD dual degree option. I’ve not personally come across someone who did MPH then JD.hi everyone - any insights on the value of an mph when if we want to follow it up with law school? any relevance in selecting a health policy analysis concentration if we picture a jd somewhere in the future?

I guess the value also comes depending on which area of law you’re interested in?I have friends who did politics as their bachelors degree and went straight to JD. I know a couple of programs have MPH/JD dual degree option. I’ve not personally come across someone who did MPH then JD.
I'm in the opposite boat, graduated with my JD in 2020 now pursuing MPH. During law school I sought out several mentors for advice as to how to get into health law or health policy, and was told generally that I'd need more experience / knowledge re: healthcare. (my law school had one seminar in health law--that was it!) I would also look into JDs at schools with strong health law course options like Saint Louis University!hi everyone - any insights on the value of an mph when if we want to follow it up with law school? any relevance in selecting a health policy analysis concentration if we picture a jd somewhere in the future?
Hey, Congratulations!! I got into HPM a few days back and from what I've heard from the financial aid team, the scholarships should be in on or before March 15th. You can PM if you want to discuss more.Oh finally just got accepted to Columbia HPM ! Anyone know when they send out scholarship decisions?
Probably between mid feb to mid marchDid anyone else apply to any of Harvard's MS/MPH programs? Do we know when we should hear back?
The admissions officer said that they will start releasing decisions in the first week of MarchHas anyone heard back from Berkeley HPM?
The same thing happened to me and I emailed them. They said because it was verified by SOPHAS by the deadline it will be considered priority!Dang it, I applied to Emory fairly early in the day on 01/05 and my SOPHAS was verified within a couple hours but it says on the OPUS portal that I applied on 01/06 (it must have taken that long to reach Emory's system?). I guess I'm likely not eligible for scholarships? I still haven't heard back on a decision either so am worried I'm not in the priority consideration group!
Yay, glad to hear!! Thank you!The same thing happened to me and I emailed them. They said because it was verified by SOPHAS by the deadline it will be considered priority!

I think it's just because most people here are applying for MPH or MSPH, not MHA. There is a separate thread from MHAs - I couldn't find one for 2022 but here is the one from 2021: 2021 MHA: Applied, Interviewed, Rejected, AttendingHi all, I recently decided to go back for a second master's in health administration. Currently work at a psychiatric hospital in insurance authorizations (LMSW). I'm only applying to one school so far - George Mason University - hoping to make their April class. I haven't seen really anyone applying there, and I wonder why. It's CAHME accredited (told to me by my supervisor to be absolutely necessary, I'm in NY if it matters) and the biggest thing for me is it's 100% online and flexible for working professionals. I can't do a residency or internship or extensive onsite projects. Am I missing something? Are there better CAHME programs out there that have what I'm looking for? Money not really an issue so long as they have a yellow ribbon program. Thanks
