A few graduating dental students last year, ended up sending a separate application to the GPR at Alameda, CA around January 2015. At that time, it was not part of MATCH nor was a it a part of the PASS application because it was brand new. This year, however, it is now a part of PASS/Match.

I was wondering how dental students hear about new programs and where to find out about them?

I was hoping to graduate this year from dental school and to work as a GP. However, I am considering ortho. or pedo. but it seems like many of the deadlines for the 1- year AEGDs/ GPRs are up or coming up. Should I just consider working as a GP for a year and try to get my (not-so-competitive) application together for the next cycle?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
