I am sure ALL of those schools are still giving out pre-December invites. I know for a fact Michigan, Maryland, Case and Tufts are. Case has most of October still open. It's still early in the cycle.

How do they notify you that you were rejected? I know nova sends snail mail but do they let you know prior to sending the snail mail?
I have not been rejected from either but people I know received it via email.
Yeah I called them today and mines is under review because it was complete last week. We'll see.
At what point is a good time to call them? Mine has been under review since August. I submitted August 3rd

I'm in the same boat as you. I called last week and they just said that it is "under review"
I submitted in july and still have most of mine under review, don't call them unless you submitted like 6/24. Be patient, calling won't make it happen any faster, it'll just annoy adcoms.

I don't think adcoms even care if you call. Don't call multiple times, but one call is very much fine. You can easily disguise it easily but still have your question answered. You can ask, "Hi, I have all my stuff in online and according to AADSAS and your website I think I have it all. Is there anything else I need to do to make sure I am all ok?" Easy simple, intuitive most of the time they will have to check your status and they'll tell you whats up. They can tell you a few things. You need something more. You are complete/under review. You are given an official status.
In general, it is a good call to make to ALL schools. WHY? Well you actually do want to make sure the school has everything they need for your application. What if the real reason is you are missing something? There are a lot of small differences within the schools so there is a real chance this happens.
Lastly, it is not that probable that the person you speak with is on the admissions committee, but if they are you are still making a smart phone call and they may just open up that file for a second and see whats up!
It could be a few days to a few weeks before you find out. Don't get discouraged at all.
Agreed! Also, I agree with your post to call all schools to make sure everything's complete so much because I called one school and they thought that I didn't send my picture when I did .. They found it and my app was finally complete!

Very good points, I took my DAT after I submitted all the after stuff. I called some schools that were awfully quiet about my application. 3 of them told me I should of called earlier since they only noticed my DAT scores were uploaded because I called them .... that was Monday...next day all changed status to Under Review.
As a pre-med, I can relate to this statement...so very much. 🙁

Because at the end of the day, we are all career bound or looking for a career in healthcare. Also, I like meeting different people - so that's another reason why I'm drawn to boards like this.
You can imagine how competitive / uptight most of the other premeds are. And they don't do it for me. A good amount of them are very upfront and direct about other people's chances of getting into medical school. Some do it in a snobbish / snooty way.
But that's not to say that the board isn't helpful. It is (for the most part). But It's just that I like to explore. 🙂

We're not easy if that's what you wanna imply 😛. That being said ik that a lot of premeds are quite the snobs. Glad to see someone who isn't ^__^

Hey guys, I applied kind of late, and my app was complete around 8/22 ~ 8/26. I applied to Dental College of Georgia, UCSF, Pacific, Columbia, NYU, and Michigan.
I haven't heard anything back from them, and it seems like some of the schools are done giving out pre-december interviews (Columbia and DCG). However, it looks like a handful of people got their interviews in October from last year's thread. So.. we'll see...
I'm trying not to be anxious since it's still "early" in the cycle, but I would be so happy if I land at least one interview :')

I'm joining you guys as I anxiously wait since a new month begins. I retook my DAT a couple weeks ago, so I'm just waiting for schools that put my app on hold to receive them. 
When is it an okay time to freak out because of no interviews? lol

It was mailed out September 2nd! However, I was missing a LOR, which was submitted on 9/21. I don't know if that affected anything
That definitely did. You've barely been complete. My committee letter took several months and it held me back in submitting too.

It seems alright. I'm getting more of the your application is complete emails lately and got an interview from NYU in the first batch!

I've already got a rejection from one school and waitlist for interview from another. Other schools I'm either under review still or have received interviews already.
