Noobs...in SPAAAAACE - 5th Annual Noob WW Game

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Does anyone have any ideas about these transmissions? They are making me lost.

I think the one from just now is a collection of pieces of someone's posts. Maybe multiple someones. Perhaps the case for the previous one(s) as well, would have to go through and look for the phrases used in the transmissions.

wow scary.

lol, what was your question, I must have missed it

And I'm asking how this is possible that you just know her ability. Either you performed an action which allowed you to know her ability or she did something which revealed it to you. Are you saying neither of these things happened?

Day 4

giphy.gif

Jupiter. King of the gods. And, appropriately, king of the planets in our solar system. Imagine getting caught in its orbit. How would you ever escape?
Some clever space cadets figured that was not the kind of planet you wanted hanging around.

But how could a planet kill someone? you might ask. Well. I'm not here to answer that question for you. Seems irrelevant.

And so, the ambitious explorers took aim with a big ass laser, set to "Planetary Destruction." It might take a day or two for it to fully destroy the planet, but rest assured, it is dead dead dead. Definitely probably maybe nothing to worry about there.

And now we must ask ourselves: Was Jupiter just full of hot air?

Dead is @muttmanager, who was Jupiter, a wolf and a gas planet with enough gravitational pull to attract a convert...or two? Three?

Yo this game is fun.
I have seen dolphin play as village and seen her at as wolf. So far she is not offering much of her own analysis as I am used to with her village play which leans her to wolf for me.

Tells are important and hard to hide.

what's the connection with the post restrictor being wolf?
If the post restrictor is wolf, 1. Have already shown attempt to throw people off by infecting a wolf (pickles) 2. Is not infecting chatty villagers which is usually the idea (impede village discussion)

Since dolphin has not had much analysis it makes her an odd choice for a wolf restrictor

BUT a fine choice for a village restrictor (NOT trying to impact village discussion)

My suspicions right now:

1. MSU … leaning wolfy.

I know her ability.

That being said is this still a hard vouch or no?

@sheltermed ... are you saying emlady has been confirmed (i.e., "hard-vouched") as a "villager" in this game?

In other words, are you (shelter) claiming you received "mod-confirmed" information about emlady's "affiliation" in this game (because I was under the impression that "hard vouch" means mod-confirmation about "affiliation"). Please feel free to correct me if that is wrong.

2. sheltermed and emlady ... possibly chaos players or some other roles.

3. Villager or neutral roles: Dina, Stagg, Ziggy, Coffee, M935, pretty much everyone else.

1. Infected a wolf.
2. Post restrictors can go either way. I have played a game with a village post restrictor.

I mean I'm not saying is definite though

I know that post restrictor is NAI, but I'm also not ruling out the possibility of chaos role being in play. Especially with some of the mechanics aspects of this game.

Why do you suspect that?

@Stagg737 why are you suspicious of Dina?

See my response to Dirk from earlier.

Ah okay. I was also thinking that if she was a wolf and the restrictor was a wolf that she could have asked to be infected to try to hide the fact that she wasn't do as much analysis like you said she does as a villager

Yes, I mean that it is a good way to be like "hey I'm onfected o can't be wolf"

are you saying emlady has been confirmed (i.e., "hard-vouched") as a "villager" in this game?

no, though her ability would imply that she is a villager. I don't want to say she is 100% a villager because I was never explicitly told that. but I do know her ability, and like Stagg and (I think) Coffee had said, there are abilities that generally indicate village affiliation.

That being said, @Stagg737, to semi answer your question, I'm not sure it would benefit us to make that information public. I will say that emlady and I have something in common.

[Edit: I saw sheltermed's response above - thank you.]

Matt has said he can take care of it (if he hasnt been converted...)

OTHERWISE, the vigilante needs to come forward so I can give them another kill

I wish I could use things the same night I make them. We’d know if it works sooner.

Edit: if it doesn’t work I am working on something that might help us more anyway.

Personal and personal experience and the best part about it is that it was just not the way.

I am working on the N3 writeup. Sorry for the delay. Will post when it is finished.

Let me go out in a blaze of fire and glory.

Or, you could portray it more accurately—with me running around in circles screaming in a high pitched voice, “DID SHE GET ME?? DID SHE GET ME?”

Why the heck are you lynching Dina?
Also confused by that.
Why do you suspect that?

@Stagg737 why are you suspicious of Dina?

Okay, so since I'm not satisfied with the answers I'm getting, I'll spell things out. There are too many seers in this game. Before I go into why I feel that way, let's talk about SEERS. The phrase seer is used to describe any one of several different abilities, the most common ones are the following:

1. Affiliation Seer- This is a seer who may seer a play and will be told what affiliation they are. This role is almost exclusively village as wolves would have little to no use for this role. It is possible that chaos or neutral may also have this role, but it is typically seen as village. This is probably the most common type of seer to occur in the games I've seen.

2. Ability Seer- A seer who is able to find out what a player's ability at night is. Sometimes you just get the name of the ability, sometimes you get the full write up about what they can do. This is generally seen as a neutral ability, as it can benefit both village and wolves. Another relatively common ability, but not quite as common as affiliation seer.

3. Role Seer- This is a seer who is able to see the name of the role a player has. In some games this can be very helpful in determining affiliation. For example: in Pokemon if someone was identified has having a Team Rocket role, it would have implied they were a wolf. In a game like this where roles seem more loosely defined, it would likely be less useful. This is one of the less common seer roles as it only really has any use in some games.

There may be other forms of seers which may either be unique or one of the above 3 with some form of twist, but I have not seen any in games I've played here. Additionally, items can also be used to allow random players to seer someone in some way one time. So there are several forms of seers and a couple of ways in which this can occur.
