Not first, but it's up there 😀

If I don't get accepted to Western, I'll probably go to NSU.

Provisionally Accepted! My interview was Sept 30th as well. Can't believe it when I say the e-mail today in my inbox. This is so exciting. No more worrying the rest of the year on where I will be. Good luck to the others in the application cycle

Congrats Ditto1114, Megathunder and lovemed1c1ne! I just got the acceptance letter as well!

My stats were: 3.09 sGPA 3.05 cGPA, 4.0 PB and 4.0 MS; I took the mcat twice, with a highest combined score of 28R; BSE in biomedical engr from Case Western, 2+ yrs work as a bme Intellectual Property guy, 6 yrs teaching, then started MS at Johns Hopkins.

iViewed on 9/23, accepted on 10/8, so not three weeks; apparently committee meets every two weeks. Good luck!

Congrats Srivatarun!

May I ask if NSU takes into consideration the highest combined (composite) MCAT scores?

Does anyone know any other DO schools look into combined MCAT scores? The only one I heard was RVU.

Thanks.

VeeVeeVee.

Congrats Everyone!! :soexcited:

At the moment this is my top choice.

Thanks Vee,
You know, I'm not sure if NSU-COM does. From what I remember, Ohio U and Edward Via COM both do (the admissions guys at the open house at EVCOM told me first hand, if I understood correctly; they said that they look at the MCAT a multitude of ways and that the highest combined from different examinations was one way (from what I recall). OUCOM I've read somewhere does). Good luck this cycle!

Congrats to all those accepted! But it does make me kinda nervous seeing all of these acceptances...just interviewed on Thursday and NSU is my top choice so far, really hoping for an acceptance :xf:

Good Luck to all those who are still waiting :xf:

anybody get invited to the "Medical School Experience Program"? It says in my email "in lieu of a traditional interview, but it should not be construed as an acceptance" I'm not sure what this means. Anyone?

Got that email too...doesn't seem like an interview invitation.

Hey! Any previous interviewees or med students know how much next year's In-State Tuition will be at NSU?

I got this same email and called, I was told this is a new type of interview they are doing this year, not everyone is doing it this way, only applicants of a certain academic level, not too sure if that was meant in a positive or negative way.

Just got an email response:

This is in lieu of a traditional interview, so no you would not have to come back to do a traditional interview. This program is replacing the traditional interview for selected applicants. Because of your academic performance you have been selected to participate is this day at NSU to see what our medical school has to offer and we will have an opportunity to evaluate you and make a recommendation to the Committee of Admissions. I hope this answered your question.

I got the same email. It would be nice if they told us whether this is a good or bad thing. I probably won't make the trip down there if its not as good as a real interview and if we don't have a good chance of getting in. Maybe we can figure it out. Are your stats above average?

3.8, 31. I'd say yes, it's a good thing. Not sure how it will work tho

got one of those emails too, very close stats to yours, wonder how it will work though. I don't think I can afford airfare for next week; I hope that wouldn't be a disadvantage 🙁

I'm sure it won't be too much of a disadvantage. if you have high stats you will always be competitive, now or later in the year
