I got accepted today (MD only, interviewed mid-October) as well. It's my first acceptance 😀

In my desperation, I did some calculations based on mdapps profiles (yeah I'm sure that's good for something). It looks like 10 acceptances out of 72 interviews listed. That's 13.8%, so surely there must be more coming, right?!

Brett, I think we're ok. It's not chronological but I think it is based on date to some degree. No one who interviewed in early december has been accepted yet. We're probably lumped into that group.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I'm really not freaking out or anything, but man I'd love to get in there! 🙂

I think they send a letter, but you can call the admissions office to confirm that they recieved the letter and deposit.

If people who were invited in November scheduled interviews in January, then it would make it difficult for NYU to schedule the December and January invites (yes, they do give out January invites).

They are most likely reviewed, prioritized and then sent out according to "rank" This makes the most sense to me, anyway.

I'm a tour guide. We just got an e-mail saying we were doing 2 more weeks of interviews. Now, as to when the invites for those interviews went/go out I have no idea. Good luck everyone! As always PM me if you have any questions.

Ok so I couldnt take it anymore and just called their admissions office ( I have to say that NYU's attitude has been a real turn off during the whole process but they are a good school.... ) and I was told the that last invitations went out on Monday so if I didnt receive one by now its safe to assume I've been rejected. Now she might not have been telling the truth or known the correct information so if someone else wants to call and see...let us know what you are told...otherwise sucks for us.

Yeah, he has to be. Because if you're not accpeted at this point it isn't an automatic rejection. Waitlist spots aren't being sent in Feb.

I find it hard to believe that they aren't handing out any more acceptances. The acceptance email said to notify them ASAP if you were declining the spot so that they could offer it to another applicant.

I have declined the offer and so that should be another spot for another hopeful applicant! Good luck to you all with NYU and the other schools that you are waiting on!

Well, I thought long & hard about that one! I mean, NYU is a fantastic school, and I did have trouble letting go. But I know in my heart that I'm a better fit elsewhere and why hold on to something that someone else would love to have? Truly, best of luck to y'all with NYU & beyond!

Not sure yet. I'm holding a couple of spots and have decided that I'm not making a decision until I hear back from the schools I'm waiting to hear back from (post-interview). Hopefully, I'll hear some news soon and all of this will be put to rest! Until then, I'm just glad to have gotten in to medical school in general and to some great schools to boot!
