Transcripts received - nope

Letters of recommendation submitted - nope, nope

I'm so happy for the other SDNers who are already receiving invites, but so bummed that my app isn't complete because I'm still waiting for AADSAS to receive my transcripts and for my evaluators to submit their letters.

Trying to remain optimistic throughout this process, but as time passes I feel like my chances for interview invites are decreasing. 🙁

Anyways, just venting. I know many of you are facing similar situations. Thanks for reading!

hang in there! you'll be fine 🙂 and your DAT is stellar! i think being pushed back a few mailing dates wont be too much of a disadvantage to you

For your own sanity, I would recommend staying off SDN until all of your stuff is in. You will go crazy seeing what is happening with other people when you can't do anything about your situation as of right now. Hope your stuff gets in soon, and good luck!

I'm in the same boat (waiting on one letter, only got my transcripts this week) and I agree with anyone saying to STAY OFF SDN. Coming here just makes me want to cry and sends my heart rate through the roof. "Comparison is the thief of joy" for sure. There are lots of people in our situation. There are lots more who haven't even started applying yet. We're going to be okay.

And now I'm going to go take my own advice.

same here. my dat scores are floating around in the ada bureaucracy web so who knows when that will get there and i accidentally requested my committee letter three times so thats probably going to take its sweet time too now as i'm sure the guy handling that is a little pissed

also theres a mobile portal for the app now so if you want yet another way to check all day errday, then https://portal.aadsasweb.org/sessions/new

Some things can't control. For example, I submitted everything for my committee LOR in January, it wasn't done until a week ago. And take hope you guys that don't have everything in yet, I received 2 interviews in the 2 days after everything I had trickled in.

I check that site religiously! Each time I refresh I'm hopeful that there will be an update for me. I've been continually inquiring about my committee letter as well, trying my best not to upset the chair.

I agree with sacapuntas, some things are just out of our control. I've been in contact with my school's pre-health committee since March. Everything they need from me has been submitted to them since May, it's just that they're taking a while to write the letter I guess. As for the transcripts, IDK, what's going on with that one. I just finished taking a summer class, and had the university submit my transcript as soon as the grades posted, but AADSAS has yet to receive them. Sooo yeahhh, a lot of things that simply can't be controlled.

And take hope you guys that don't have everything in yet, I received 2 interviews in the 2 days after everything I had trickled in.

Don't worry about it, you got great stats (from what I remember) and just try to do what you can (don't kill yourself over it)😳. When did you send your transcripts? if it's been a while, I would call your registrars office and while everything is getting processed, get your secondary fee/app ready and sent. This way they can get to the schools at the same time.

The pre-health committee is a b*tch to get a hold of sometimes.. I wouldn't even wait for it - just go a head with the rest of the application. Esubmit ASAP though so that the GPA verification can start as soon as the transcript are received.

No way is your application late😀. You'll do great during this cycle and I know you'll get in somewhere.

@asdfray - yes! The committee letters take so long to get processed. I e-submitted back in early July, and am in the process of sending out application fees and secondary apps. Luckily a lot of the schools I applied to only have supplemental fees, not apps, so it's less work 🙂. Good luck to you on your interviews! Let me know how the interview at Buffalo goes (I think I saw that somewhere on this forum that you were invited)!

I feel the same. I need to evaluate my degree since I am a foreign student and it takes like forever to receive my degree after requesting. I have submited my application but there's no point in it cuz they dont have my evaluated transcripts. . .

I am wondering why?....I had my undergrad form UK and I just sent my transcripts from UK ...they are not calculating any GPA from foreign transcripts...and I havent send my Evaluation (although it's completed) yet probably do it by Monday....foreign trasncript should not hold you back for GPa calculation or mailing your app to schools.

Aww I can imagine how frustrated you are right now. Well all of this is out of your hands right now, so all you can really do is hit submit and sit back and wait. Distract yourself with other things in the mean time! Once school picks up again, it'll be so much easier. But with your DAT, and I imagine a good GPA, you have nothing to worry about and you don't need the edge of an early application anyways 🙂 Good luck this cycle! 🙂

Can I know what schools are you applying for?
I'm asking because I have called many schools which I was interested in and they told me they just accept degrees from US and Canada.
