Welcome to Office Life WW.

Who is your friend? Who is going to stab you in the back? In real life, the wolves hide underneath skirts and ties. Below are listed the roles you may receive (there are more roles than players, so not all roles may be in the game). Wolves are randomly selected after role assignment, so knowing someone’s role name or ability does not help you find wolves. Unlike IRL though, there is no disinformation from mods. You may rely on info given directly by the mods (no % of failure).

Do not sign up if you cannot play actively. You must participate in EVERY lynch. You must send in an action EVERY night. Unusual schedules will be taken into consideration. Use contingencies if necessary. The FH rule (miss 2 night actions and you are mod killed) is in effect.
The new SOV rule is in effect for lynches. Each time you miss a vote in a lynch, you start off with a lynch vote the next day that aggregates (miss 4 lynches, next day you get 4 lynch votes against you). This will affect endgame and people will probably just want to lynch you anyway so beware.

This game is obviously going to have different strategy than normal, and depending on what roles the wolves get, will run very differently. We'll see how it goes. I just wanted to throw something together in this format. I don't claim it is elegant, but at least you can't complain that you can't figure it out.

The auditors (2): You check to make sure people are using their roles properly. You may select one role, and see who the role was used on any night of the game (including the current one).

Human Resources manager (HR): You can find out what role a particular person has.

Master of the Universe: You can find out who the real back-stabbing wolves are. Each night choose one person to check their wolfdom.

Gossips (3): You like to talk to people and know what is going on. Each night you may talk to one person in PMs. Outside of the wolves, these are the only conversations allowed.

Best Friend: you’ve got your friends back. Each night you can protect one person (not yourself). Everyone gets tired of hanging out with the same person night after night so, you can only protect someone 2 nights in a row before you have to choose someone new (you can return to original person after that).

Grumpy old man: You don’t like anyone, or trust them. You can watch one person each night and see if they are changing into someone new. (conversion detection). You only notice if they change that particular night.

Troublemaker: You like to cause a little mischief. You can redirect one person’s action each night onto a different (random) person.

Hacker: You don’t like authority and you like to show your computing prowess. Each night you choose the books of one person and change the log for what they have done on whom.

Troubled Loner: Each night you can choose either to kill someone, or to stay home ready to kill anyone who attacks you. If you choose to kill someone, there is a 1 in 2 chance you are successful, and independently a 1 in 4 chance you are killed as well. If you protect yourself, there is a 1 in 2 chance you are killed if attacked, and a 1 in 4 chance your attacker is killed. Once you have killed once, your role is used up.

Braggard: You think there is no one better than you, and you don’t mind letting people know it. You may resemble a current political candidate (or not).. your choice. Every post you have to make a flamboyant statement (DocEspana-like) about how great you are so everyone knows who you are. You can ask the mods 2 questions during the game. The second question can indirectly ID a wolf (i.e. you can’t ask who is a wolf, but you can ask, what role does a wolf have).

Enabler: You help others rather than yourself. Each night choose one person to who will double their ability for the night (if applicable). You may choose to allow wolves to kill twice or not by choosing to exclude extra powers.

Cover-up guy: each night you can choose one person to protect them from actions being done on them (but not being killed, you are not that good).

The screwup: you are chaotic. You can really screw things up. You can choose which side you want to win the game at any time ½ the players remain. If you choose the wolves, you become a wolf. number If you choose the villagers, you become plain vanilla. Either way each night you choose one different person and find out what they did to whom. You are dangerous to the villagers and the wolves, and there is no way for them to know who your true allegiance is (not even the wolves). You may not reveal any of this information on the thread.

The shy guy: You don’t talk much. I know it sucks to be you. But you are awfully hard to get rid of because you always shrink away from contact. You need to be lynched twice to die, or need to be attacked twice to die. You may not use text on the thread or in PMs (except to the mods).

Nobody (3): You are nobody. You do nothing. The good news, you can be resurrected, or not… you have competition. Nobodies can talk to each other though.
Each night search for another nobody, when you find each other, you can have a group conversation.
(if you cannot participate much and still want to play, you may 'request' this role privately. no promises).

The life saver: You help the nobodies of the world. You may choose to resurrect one nobody. If you are not saving someone that night you must send a lifesaving related GIF to someone different each night.

Chairman of the Board: You direct the operations of the company, and try to maximize the positions of people. Each night, starting from night 2, you must choose one dead person’s role and swap it out with a living person’s role. Will this help things or hurt? Who knows? You may not swap your own.

@shortnsweet You have SnS’s favorite role (and much despised by some). You get to make up post restrictions for people each day…. Be creative.

Tinkerer: Each night you work on 3 items to propose to the mods for use. Mods will pick one and send it to a random(?) player.

Food Delivery Person: You brings lunch every day, but unfortunately, it is not exactly the freshest food available. You can poison a sandwich to invalidate someones ability for a night.

We can run this game with any number of people. I think 20 would be nice. No more than 24. Less is fine.
REMEMBER: Only sign up if you can participate in one lynch each day, and send in one night action. I am running this game cause I am sick, but once I get better, hard to say how much I can do. If you want to co-mod let me know.

Sign me up. I will get night actions and lunches in each day, but this will not be my most active game ever as a forewarning.

😱
scandalous.
Just gonna hafta get your kicks from someone else.

also someone put the words "avante garde" and "SOV game" close to each other and I had a violent, almost anaphylactic, reaction.

you know you have to trick me into playing SOV games. You can't openly tell me its one, otherwise the PTSD kicks in.
I want to see this. Do it! (An even crazier, itchier, twitchier DocE? What will become of us? Would the world survive?)
