Hello everyone. I hope everyone is receiving relatively good news (I emphasize relatively because I know how dissapointing and frustrating this process can often be).
I have a question regarding interview invites, and the degree to which they improve your odds for admission. Does anyone know what the trend is as far as the number of initial applicants receiving interview invites? Further, if one is invited how much do these odds increase in your favor? I know each school is different and there is no definitive answer to my inquiry, but I was just curious if anyone had information regarding this matter...The particular school in question here is Hofstra, so if anyone knows anything about this procedure, any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
I kindly request that you are gentle and considerate with your responses, while also being realistic, as I do not want to give myself a false sense of optimism!
Thanks Everyone,
-Adam
I interviewed at Hofstra last year, was waitlisted then denied. I think it was like 40 interviews for 15 slots. They have you write a short essay on who inspired you in the field, so be prepared.
