I was wondering if someone could provide me some insight on how acceptance offers are generally made. Do the schools generally wait a long time after the interview or is it done fairly soon afterwards? Also, do the schools expect a direct reply when the offer is made? If you get an offer but are waiting to hear from another school, what do you tell the school providing you the initial offer?
Thanks for any advice anyone can provide. I just want to be prepared if things do work out in my favor this time.
Hey olliepsych, I remember a couple of threads with this discussion, if I find the link I'll post it. What I know is that most schools will let you know fairly quickly about their decision (and they will let you know what to expect at the interview). Once you receive an offer you have until April 15 to make you decision. Just remember that if you have more than 2 offers you should ALWAYS pick your favorite. If you stuck between 2 schools and can't decide, let all other offers go and take your time to decide (until 4/15 of course) 🙂
