Preclinical Grades: All pass, except conditional pass in practice of medicine course due to missing a few mandatory sessions (high 80s grade in class)
Clerkship grades: Honors in Peds and OB-Gyn, HP in surgery, medicine, psych and primary care. Honors in Medicine Sub I
AOA: No
Research: NIH research in undergrad and Post bac year. Poster presentation, and undergraduate honors thesis based on research performed but no publication, oral presentation at regional conference. Abstract submitted for non-internal medicine research project, paper written but not yet submitted. Current cardiology research project at NIH with possible ACC abstract submission. Another cardiology project with school faculty awaiting statistical analysis and abstract submission.
Letters: Department chair, Cardiologist (worked w/ for 3yrs), OB-Gyn attending, Research mentor (Cardiologist)
Extracuricullars: Founder and president of interest group, VP of student organization, Various outreach events for high school students, Intramural sports, Tutor,
Interested in Cardiology fellowship. Due to personal reasons, would prefer to be in the northeast (mainly NY, DC, MD, VA, NJ). Not really familiar with programs and what my chances are. I would SINCERELY appreciate as much feedback as possible. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone else!
