EVMS today T_T
Really EVMS rejection....thats my only hope besides a pre-guarantee for St. Georges due to a hook up from high school :/

Rejected pre interview from Cooper. Don't even remember why I applied there to be honest. Still would've like to check out a new program though.

Plus I'm pretty sure I'm being silently rejected from EVMS and UC Riverside :( :(

Rejected from my state school as soon as they could-- accepted to expensive OOS private! I have my days of sadness and days of not do sad. I can beat thousands, but I can't beat hundreds! Woot!

Just got rejected from albany :(, didn't really want to go there anyways though.

rejected from dartmouth less than a week after completing

Cooper pre-interview.

Rejections are starting to pile up + SOOOOO many schools where I have heard nothing!

This is depressing....

I've been thinking why VCU rejected me. They probably thought I don't have patch Adams potential

I think I've been super anxious because a lot of rejections seem to be post-interview. I haven't received an interview invite yet and don't know which schools will wait until the very end to send out rejections to those individuals who did not make it past the secondary stage. Just wish I knew who sends out rejections before the very end. I'm a reapplicant and had that happen to me the first time. UNC rejected me around April. By that time I had not received a secondary and pretty much made the rejection assumption months prior. Sigh :(

Received my first rejection tonight.

UCSF Post-Secondary. :=|:-)::thumbdown::=|:-):

Asi es la vida.

I openly disclosed a disability in my personal statement... I have 8 rejections: UCSF, Duke, BU. Vanderbilt, UW, Wisconsin, UChicago, Georgetown

Pre interview holds at UCSD, USC, GW

20 remaining schools with silence

Sounds a lot like my situation.

How do you know you are put on pre-interview hold at UCSD? Did they notify you via email?

Application Status Check...

By that do you mean on your status page it says "hold for interview" with a date next to it? Or is the date section still blank? Just trying to figure out if I'm also on hold. This probably belongs in the UCSD thread, sorry for going a tad off topic!

Is this list for those who give explicit rejections, not silent ones?

Yes

I'm getting a lot of false hope that adcoms are actually looking at my application and seriously considering it

*For MCW and Loyola?

MCW was August 7th and Loyola was September 7th (put a lot of thought into those essays...). I was waiting on my MCAT retake from July 3rd, so I wasn't truly complete anywhere until that score came in. :/ Ugh.

I love this Oprah Gif

and I'm also pretty sure I just got rejected from Drexel :(

Why do you think that? Was there a status change or are you thinking silent rejection? I haven't heard anything from there since completion (~late July or early August)....

I can relate/feel for you there. I had to wait for my aug MCAT so technically wasn't complete until oct 1...which puts me way behind. Still no word, but I'm prepared for the worst. Good luck to you!

First rejection (is the deepest, baby I know...) was Georgetown on 11/23. Complete 10/17.

+1 Georgetwon was my first rejection too, though this was back in september. I was really bummed out too because I thought G-town was one of my best chances due to stats, interests, and the fact that my mentor/boss/LOR writer worked their for 20 years and used to chair the med school admissions committee :p.

Haha. That's an awesome connection. Sorry you were rejected. :( It was the first email I received on a Saturday morning. Zero respect for the easygoing weekend.

If only he stilled worked there!! You would have been set!

This should be updated a bit. U Chicago, U Penn (they make it seem like you have hope, but that's not the case), Brown all pre-interview, Vandy and UCSF (pre-secondary).

The status says that I'll be getting a letter regarding my status shortly and I have yet to be granted an interview. So i'm pretty sure its a rejection.

Finally rejected from EVMS pre secondary. I really had no business applying to that school and wasted $35 on it when it could've gone to a different school. Pretty lame letter too, and they didn't even bother to acknowledge receipt of my primary application as well.

Pre-interview rejection BU, Pitt, Cooper Rowan, Vanderbilt, UCSF - UCLA no secondary so assuming rejection.

Pre-interview hold Loyola, UCSD

I think that's it so far

Pre interview rejection from Univ Maryland. Received letter in the mail. :(
