I told myself before this cycle started that I would attend every interview I was offered..but now I'm thinking I might have to cut some schools out of the mix because if I attend every interview right now, I will be missing half a month of school this semester. Decisions decisions lol

Edit: Not to mention that another 7 of my schools I applied to haven't sent out interview yet

That is sooo odd.
You know what, I got rejection email from UCSF a few days ago for dual degree program, (the PhD part, it says my DDS part is still active). the thing is I didn't even submit application for PhD part yet....LOL I started application but didn't finish. Felt so odd.

No. it still says "verified". but AADSAS is for DDS part, so my DDS part should be "active" per say...
the "rejection" email was for the PhD part (graduate school) which I didn't even submit yet. haha. very discouraging right? even before submission, got rejected hahahaha...LOL

My status has not changed yet either. It still says “ verified”. It’s very weired that they made the decision this early in the cycle.

So far both places I received interviews to also only gave one date. I also noticed that UCSF doesn’t let you change the date unless you can’t make it for a few very specific reasons. I suppose it’s just easier on them. Weird though because most medical schools let you pick a date from a list!

Wouldn’t change your status but maybe they’d tell you why they rejected.

Who would you call? The admissions coordinator? They said they don’t give status updates to individuals, so I’m a little nervous about calling I really would like to find out why though.

This is what I would do:

The first path is to call to their admission office and say, "Hello, My name is _____ and I received a rejection already and I feel puzzled and want to find out the reason for my rejection. Could you please connect me with someone who will help me to explain? I feel so upset and cannot stop worrying about what I did wrong." And hopefully, they will be helpful about that.

The second path is to email their office and if no response in a few days, give them a reminder. (longer path)
