Official 2020 Step 2 CK Experiences With Scores Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Studying stalled super hard during the past month so I decided to take the opportunity to reschedule to mid July from very early June.

Agreed, idk about you guys but it took me a while to readjust to this "online curriculum" stuff.

During rotations I used to be able to just do blackboard requirements the afternoon after my shelf exam. Maybe put in 1-2 hours per week on online requirements for some rotations. So i could just focus on boards and performing well in clinic/hospital

Now with this "online requirements" it feels like my busy work has become ridiculous.

Anybody else COMLEX-Level 2 CE date completely disappear on the NBOME website? Not sure if this is due to Prometric currently doing maintenance on the site or if my date got cancelled or what; haven't been regularly checking so I don't know how long it's been gone either.

No mine disappeared too. I was scheduled for July so I doubt it's because they have cancelled our dates yet. Who knows what's going on, this is all just a big cluster.

One of my buddy’s tests was just cancelled. Scheduled for the end of June. The Prometric email didn’t even say which test lol, what a cluster.

I'm taking CK on May 4th as of now, haven't heard anything about it being cancelled yet. It's been super hard to motivate myself to study knowing there is a 50% chance my test gets cancelled. I was originally scheduled for March 16th and the testing center got shut down the week before my test date. I was super prepared at the time, but over the last month and half I don't even want to know how much info I've forgotten. I'm just hoping I can get this test done with at this point. But anyways so far I've finished Uworld x2 and most of amboss. I don't remember my UW 1st pass percentage but it was round 75-76, second pass has been around 83.
UW1 (took in December) 243
UW2 (took some time in early March) 256
NBME 7 238

Wondering if I should take another NBME or just finish the last few questions I have on amboss. I'm barely doing anything to study which feels weird since around this time for step 1 I was freaking out studying like 10+ hours a day. Also my permit disappeared for CS today and now all I can think about is all the mistakes I made during that test. Anyways sorry for the rambling but the last few weeks have sucked for me like I assume they have for everyone else.

Did you originally get cancelled then rescheduled or was this an original test date?
With all the news last week about how people were probably going to get cancelled, I just bit the bullet and rescheduled from my June dates to August so I would avoid all of that. Or so I thought. I’m not sure if I lost comlex, step, or both because I guess Prometric didn’t consider that some of us take both.

Mine had gotten canceled twice so I took an October date. I just dont want to be in a holding pattern anymore/dont want to take during an AI in July/August.

Most classmates of mine are waiting for Prometric to reschedule them but as soon as I got the cancellation email, I rescheduled to late July/early August. I think I needed more time to study anyway and don't see us going back into the hospitals anytime soon. Could probably move the test date earlier later on too

I actually don't think that @Ho0v-man's August date was cancelled. Although he already had cancelled his June date earlier, I think that the Prometric system is behind and sent out a cancellation email anyway for the originally planned June date. The exact same thing happened to one of my classmates who had a June date scheduled but then intentionally cancelled it and rescheduled for August 1st - she still received a Prometric cancellation email. As of now, July/August dates should be fine.

Yup, this same thing has happened to multiple other people, causing even more panic and confusion. Prometric can't seem to do anything right.

That would be great. How do you figure out if you have or haven’t been cancelled? People who got the email still say they’re scheduled on prometric’s site.

My step 2 was cancelled, but I still have level 2 scheduled so I'm seriously considering only taking COMLEX. I really don't want to try and maintain my knowledge until I could take step 2 and I'd rather just get the test over with. I took step 1 and don't think step 2 will add much to my application given the specialty I'm applying to. I wonder if NBME would give me a refund lol...

And my May date got cancelled. Awesome. No idea what I’m doing now can’t find anything until August. Hopefully the can figure out remote testing at our med school or something. It seems like my entire class was cancelled as well so Idk what happened to the 50% thing.

I suspect Prometric cut 50% of the "essential" tests. And somehow med students were just affected more

I think they did too. My COMLEX was cancelled yesterday. Was able to find a spot in a whole different state on august 5th. Unreal. I was told by a classmate that Prometric plans to add more test dates over the next week, so I'm hoping. Crossing my fingers Step date stays the same. This is brutal

Soooo... I received an email 2 days ago saying one of my 2 appointments was cancelled, yesterday I received an email confirming my appointment 05/08/20 was cancelled (comlex), & today I received this.

Anybody else in the same boat? I didn't reschedule my exam or anything when they sent the e-mail yesterday.

This happened to my friend just barely too. I have no idea what it means. Prometric needs to get their act together.

I also got this email today. Apparently prometric has no idea what they are doing.

The confirmation emails are apparently a glitch per a NBME rep. Classmate got a hold of them this morning over the phone and they said to ignore the confirmation email. It takes a few days to update on NBME/NBOME with any changes to the exam if you rescheduled it.

Today has been a whirlwind. Woke up to an email that my May 6th test date which was cancelled yesterday was confirmed today. As of a week ago I'm not even scheduled for 5/6 I'm scheduled for 5/4 and haven't heard anything about it. Then about 15 minutes later got an email that my CS score would be posted at 8 so I stress refreshed that page about 100 times. I felt like I did a pretty **** job on CS and missed the main diagnosis on at least half of the cases. I had some awkward conversations at one point congratulating a teenager on consistent condom use. Like I legit said "congratulations keep doing that". Anyways I passed comfortably and am glad that at least that is over.

Just got another e-mail from Prometric:

"You recently received a confirmation email from Prometric regarding an existing testing appointment with us. It has come to our attention that the appointment details included in that notice may not have reflected current information.

In order to ensure you have accurate, current information regarding your appointment with us, we are resending this information to you. The details below include your appointment date and the confirmation number for your appointment. Please review this information to ensure it reflects the details as you understand them. If you rescheduled the appointment listed below within the past 24 hours, please use your confirmation number to verify your testing date in real time on your test sponsor page at prometric.com."

After this, it confirmed my Step 2CK appointment. I'm wondering if they flipped everyones' cancelled examination date with their still scheduled examination dates or something when they sent out e-mails this morning?

Yep just got the same email saying I’m confirmed for Monday. What a ride this has been. And I’ve wasted so much time haha. Guess I’ll get back to uworld.

I had COMLEX Level 2 scheduled for June 18 and USMLE Step 2 for June 12, and my COMLEX was canceled. Earliest I could get for that is late August. I'm not sure what to do... re-schedule my USMLE to around the same time to prevent diminishing returns, or just hope for the best? I can't countenance the idea of taking the two several months apart from eachother. My school still has a COMSAE at beginning of June so I don't know how to proceed with studying even.

I assumed they would cancel step for DO students and keep COMLEX seeing how that is the "essential" exam, but apparently that would make too much sense

I think I had those same exact June dates, and had Comlex canceled. I figured I didnt want 2 dedicateds, so I rescheduled both to August with three days in between.

Does anyone know if on NBOME you press “reschedule” does it instantly release your existing date? Or only if you follow through and select a new date off the calendar? My level 2 CE was scheduled for June 16th, got cancelled, and I managed to find August 24th two hours away. I would like to keep trying for better dates but not at risk of losing that date, because now the dates in my state are booking Oct/Nov.

I know you can search prometric availability without being logged in, but it’s 1 month at a time vs 3, and also there could be enough delay in me spotting it and then going through nbome to actually book it that I could lose it.

It does not release your date. You can press reschedule and look for more dates. if you don't like it, just exit the window and your existing date will not change.

just got a 222 on UWSA 1 can someone predict me on that alone?

This thing is convenient. Someone posted this on SDN somewhere a week or 2 ago. Lines up really well with the Reddit 2018/2019 Correlation Results formulas.

So.... has anyone been able to figure out if the massive availability that opened up at 6:20pm was legit? Like did Prometric just decide to open up a bunch of slots and cause mass confusion on their way out on a Friday night?

At this point there’s a huge mixing of appointments with the sudden openings and a domino effect with people moving their appointments. You wouldn’t even know which were part of the mass release on Friday evening or not. And zero input from Prometric, NBME, or NBOME. What a giant clusterf**k.

Doing my last check in!

Parenthesis are the Reddit predictor scores.

UWorld 1st Pass: 74.6% (256.12)
UWorld 2nd Pass (1/3 completed): 85%
UWSA1: 246 (250)
NBME7: 221 (247)
NBME6: 224 (249)
NBME8: 235 (251)
UWSA2: 259 (259)

Goal Score 250+

Exam date 05/05/20

Going to review UWSA2 tomorrow & continue to keep up with flashcards. Monday I'm doing my flashcards in the AM then probably taking the afternoon off.

Officially done with all med school tests. Idk what to make of how that test went yet I had some blocks I flew through and had like 10-15 minutes extra on and some I struggled to finish in time and marked like 20 questions. I was definitely way less stressed than step 1 and was actually able to get a full night sleep before which was nice and hopefully that helped. Wearing a mask for 9 hours sucked and got pretty uncomfortable especially towards the end but the one plus is that you don’t have to sign in and out every time you leave the test area so that speeds up the break process a lot. I wish I would’ve done at least one test at home that was as long as that though because I definitely felt the fatigue towards the end and just started picking buzzwords that sounded right haha. Anyways good luck to everyone still waiting to take it. I’m so glad to be done with this exam since I was supposed to take it like 2 months ago haha

How did it compare to UWorld or the NBME's?
