In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

i was talking to my friend last night and she said she checked it 3 times a day every day in-between when she took the test and when scores came out.

i am actually going to refrain and not check until i hear they've changed the message.

My productivity at work had definitely dropped as a result of frequent score checking. Not to mention day dreaming/day nightmaring about the scores... I feel like I wasted my good performance when I took AAMC 9. Why can't that one just count?!

P.S. in Fall 2004, after taking the MCAT the first time, I dreamed this girl I know got a 33M. My dream was induced by knowing her best friend's score. Her best friend's score from April 04 was 31 S so I dreamed she did near the same. In the same dream I dreamed that everyone but me got a score and then when I got it, it was a 3 total. Funny dreams.

The second time I took it I dreamed I did 5 points less then the first time and ended up doing 6 points better then the first time.

haha, i just know i'd go nuts looking at it and not seeing scores yet. i swear, that night back in october when scores came out, i must have refreshed that page over 200 times. i just know that worrying about it gets me nowhere but with a sick stomach.

so hopefully i'll be good this time 🙂 and maybe you'll dream that i'll get a 33!!

I had a dream more like a nightmare...my score went down in PS and BS. I got 11's the first time...but I dreamt that i got 9 on PS and 10 on BS for the april MCAT. Hopefully the dream will stay a dream

I'm incredibly amazed by the notion of scores coming out June 7. That's ridiculously early! I don't know how much I actually believe that, and I don't know how much I would want that to be true. I think I will have to investigate this further...

I think that it will be June 7th. First, there is no reason for TPR to just lie like that. They don't have anything to gain from lying about score release date. And besides, the 60 days score release time that AAMC claims it to be, it never even gets to 60 days. And besides, even if they're wrong, let's just assume that it's June 7th, and then we'll only have a week left till the real scores come out (last year they came out June 15th).

The only time you should submit an app right away before scores come out is if you are an August MCATer because then it will hinder your chances by waiting unless you get like a 33+ and have some amazing ECs.

For people who took the April exam, there is no issue in waiting it out the extra 2 weeks because your app is not even uploaded until after July 4th by medical schools, and interviews don't even start til September or late August at some schools.

So you'll be fine.

Except that last year the MCAT was a week earlier ...

I would love it ifwe had scores by June 7th. I'm not counting on it, though. I'm telling myself to expect June 21st. Anything earlier than that is a bonus. 👍

Yeah there's no advantage to turn it in before scores come out in June. Its only a problem if you are an August test taker.

The Chi-town schools such as RFU, Loyola, Rush, and Pritzker even though Pritzker is hard to get into.

Other then that, look through the MSAR and talk with students at these schools through SDN or other means to get an impression about which school's you think you could see yourself at and realistically having a chance getting in at.

Hehe I know I will apply to all the Chicago schools...Im going nuts thinking of all the potential MCAT scores and what schools to apply to. I have about 6 Lists of Schools.....one for 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33...lol, as you can see I have lost my mind

I think 28-31 would all go in one category for me but 32 and 33 would have their own separate categories. I got the impression that its once you've hit the 32-33 threshold, then a few more doors will open up for you. But perhaps that's just my impression. Nonetheless, that cracks me up.

After reading your post it dawned upon me that I really dont need 4 lists for the 28-31 category lol. So I broke it down to 25 Schools + 6 Reach Schools.

I don't to sleep---afraid of my MCAT nightmare---letter from AAMC telling me that I have to retake the MCAT because I may have not wrote the statement in cursive 😱

I stopped checking the system because every time I log in, I see my UGLY score from April 05 and I get really sad. I'm hoping for June 7th instead of June 21 for score releases so I have a couple more weeks to study for August if needed. Oh the horror.

Imagine that the stress of the MCAT caused you to enter a coma and then you woke up the day of the score release. There would be no anxiety. But I would not be able to tell if it was a dream or not! 🙁

All the doctors I talked to said they didn't remember their MCAT score but the wait for them is permanently ingrained in their memory. Imagine, this is really the time of our life! 😡

The MSAR is what I am using to kill time. I have gone through a million times now---I keep on adding and removing schools lol. You can have some fun with it, make a list of schools for each range of scores you predict. 😉

It is only advantageous to do that if you are an August test taker. Schools don't even upload your application until right after 4th of July.

So even if you send it in June 1st, it will just be waiting in line until July.
