In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

I think they're trying to give us a stroke... weed out the weaklings...

I called (319) 337-1357 and guy said score will be online 12/13june 🙂 🙂 🙂
That's it: Scores online: 12/13, scores by mail: 20. Argument closed.

do they know that computers are faster than cars and airplanes??? Why do we care when they are being MAILED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They used to put the score reports into a wine bottle, seal it with wax, and hurl it into the churning sea. So they're a bit old fashioned...

Did anyone else's heart stop when they read the June 20th announcement? I wanted to cry...I don't think I can wait much longer, especially not after all the 12th/13th "rumors." Hopefully what you guys are saying about that being the mailing date is really true. This anxiety can't possibly be healthy.

Just called AAMC office. Lady told me that they have been informed that scores will be up early next week and they will start mailing it out by the end of next week. We should receive snail mail by 20th.

I just spoke with mcat program office in Iowa. Scores will be online on the 12th or 13th (monday or tuesday), they will also be sending out a mailing that week, after they are posted online, so receive in mail by ~20th

thanks

1. Why the **** is the MCAT program office in Iowa. There is nothing in Iowa! Shouldn't it be in some place like New York or Chicago. That would make more sense. But Iowa?

2. How do they get the abbreviation for THx? Testing History System. Seems like it should by THS not THx. WTF!!!

the number on the website takes you to the DC office of the aamc. All the mcat stuff actually goes down in Iowa at the MCAT program office. I believe this is where they grade the tests. I called the 1-800 number on the aamc website and I had a question about a letter I had written concerning an issue I had with one of the questions on the test. They said any issues with the mcat (like regrades or concerns about unfair questions) should call that number in Iowa.

I REALLY hope this turns out to be true! I can't take any more false hope....

Nope. No one has posted this yet. Thanks for the update!

Damn, 20th??? Now we have to wait all this time! 🙁

i don't know who or what to believe anymore. 🙁 Has anyone confirmed by phone that 12/13 is the computer release date and the 20th is really the mail date?

They get THx for Testing History, but since it's medical, they add the small x e.g. Rx, Dx etc.

Can anyone around from previous tests tell us if the update posted on their site was for the online release or snail mail release? For some reason, I'm just assuming that they would put the online release date... But I hope I'm wrong!
for the august results coming out last october, they did not post any announcement on the main page until the day of, if i recall correctly.

here's what i had posted previously regarding this topic:

There was a notice before the August score release...not a week before, but the day of (10/14/05). The message said: "Thank you for your patience. The scores will be loaded tonight"

and then you could access the examinee data for our exam during the day before scores were posted.

then, they changed the message to: "Thank you for your patience. The scores will be loaded tonight, but probably close to midnight Eastern time (certainly not before 10:30pm)"
and then they actually did come out at around 10 PM.

I hate to say this and was hoping it would be different this time around...but when I took the MCAT for the first time in Aug 2004 - the online results became available on the afternoon of the 58th day....so I have a bad feeling it will be the 20th for online. (Maybe they'll mail the snail mail a few days earlier, but I bet it won't get to anybody until the 20th or so anyway).

12 more days...almost there. It's funny - a 12 day break seems like a weekend, but a 12 day wait feels like a lifetime. It's all relative. Hang in there everyone! 👍

As you all know, the MCAT website says "... Available June 20th." They would have no way to be certain that everyone would have access to the scores through snail mail by any specific date. Therefore, one needs to assume they mean available online. HOWEVER, a few pages ago on this thread there were a number of posts indicating that Pre-med advisors received emails from MCAT stating that June 20 would be the release date. So perhaps that is the date that scores are open to Med schools for review in their association with certified applications. Otherwise, the only other hope for earlier release is if the announcement is modified/clarified.

This is every similar to what I remember for the Aug 04 test as well.

they probably just posted it because they were tired of getting phone calls

NOW I KNOW WHY THE DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY CUT FUNDING FOR NYC AND SENT IT TO IOWA!!!!!!!!!!

WE HAVE NO LANDMARKS, THE MCAT OFFICE IS IN IOWA.

Watson, we have solved yet another mystery. My pipe and cocaine please.

What exactly are we arguing about? Several people called after the June 20th announcement and have clarified that this is when the scores will arrive by mail, with the THx being updated early next week. Can't get more clear than that.

Because that wouldn't make sense. How would they be able to predict when everyone would get their results by mail? People live different distances from the testing center and snail mail is unpredictable at times anyway.

They are estimating that by sending out the score reports late next week, most will reach their destinations by the 20th. Any examinees in Bora Bora or Tora Bora may have to wait a few additional days.

But whether it makes sense or not, this is the word from the MCAT office.

I don't know if this has been said but on the AAMC MCAT HOMEPAGE IT NOW SAYS THE MCAT SCORES WILL BE OUT TUESDAY JUNE 20th!!!!!!!!!

I just called the MCAT office in Iowa and talked to a guy that was pretty clueless. He couldn't confirm the 20th, but said he heard rumors of the 12ish as well. His basic advice was to just keep checking them :scared: 😕 Why didn't I think of that

FYI: My questions were specifically geared toward online...

The problem is, we don't know if that means that they are mailing them on the 20th, loading them on the 20th, or what. Freakin' A! 😀

I just think that since we all want those scores out sooner, we are just interpreting it how we want, rather than take it at face value as an unambiguous statement that scores will be available on June, 20. Not at the latest June 20, or earlier than June 20 on the web and on or about June 20 by mail, depending on where you live. It just says on June 20. I do understand that phone representatives have said 12/13. But the official word sent to pre-med advisors by MCAT also says June 20. Lets just see.

forget it i dont want my mcat score anymore
we should all boycott the website...
to show how unfair they are treating us...no1 should go on to see if they updated...

Are you saying that the MCAT office KNOWS where Osama is and he TOOK the MCAT!!!!!

I'm lost on this thread. I was away to a trading show this morning and seems like the thread has exploded in the meantime... Can someone give me a summary of what is going on? Like when the score and statistics will be out?
Thanks....

in case you didn't hear from the other 10,000 people's posts, there is and update on the AAMC Mcat site.

They better be out on the 12/13th I want to get this crap over with. I still need to finish my AACOMAS up but thats boring.

Hey guys, I took the MCAT last August and if I remember correctly the scores came out on midnight of the 59th day after the test.

Also don't fool yourselves into thinking that June 20th will be the day scores are mailed. I didn't get that letter until 2-3 weeks AFTER the score was available on the internet.

Hope that helps!

I just talked to the guy in Iowa on the phone and he said that states starting with the letter L-Z will have their scores tommorrow provided they are a red state, and lie north of texas, but that states that are A-K will not recieve their scores until July 4th during a fireworks display being nationally televised in Washington, DC. Blue States lying north of texas in the L-Z had their scores destroyed on accident and will be recieving partial refunds. Overall I think this is a pretty optimistic outlook!!
