In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

BradenDO--first movie you should rent should be love song for bobby long(i'm sure you get a discount since you work there now) it is pretty good. if you tell me you don't like it then i'll know we'll never get along moviewise and i'll leave you alone. record store huh? that's very cool/empire recordsish. i always wanted to work at one of those but i never fit in because i'm too preppy and not cool enough. good luck with new job and mcat

I keep thinking about the tens of thousands of $ I've spent going back to school, all wasted if I don't get at least a 31 on this $%#%$# test. 🙁 Being a postbacc is way too stressfull.

THx is my home page. I see it every time I open Internet Explorer, which is often. 😴
Tuesday morning will bring an end to this ennui. Till then, sleep, eat, exercise, fill in postbac applications, repeat.

Apparently medical schools weigh grades lower in favor of MCAT score if they disagree. Hope this makes people feel better hahaha. Sorry, being evil.

The last couple of weeks have actually been flying by since I am taking summer classes. I have 2 tests on Tuesday, so I have a lot on my mind right now!! I know that the second I get done with those tests I will have to run to the nearest computer.................and then to the nearest bar! Regardless of the score, I think I'll be due for some drinks.

Eeh, i kind of like this better actually...(as long as i get a decent score in a few days)
ive noticed at my school good grades come from sucking up and jumping through all of the teachers' hoops...not what you learn/how you perform...

I know the feeling, but my tests are on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Couldn't be worse timing. But the MCAT itself this year was the weekend before our finals week in the Sprint Term. It's been nutz. :laugh: :scared: :laugh: 😱 :laugh: 🙁 :laugh:

whichi postbac do you do? I have a preadmission offer already lined up for me for some special masters programs in the country.

I'm loving my class in Histology, supposedly taught on a med school level because the professor wants to teach at the new medical school opening in 2 years, just like everyone in my department. The exams are rough and the lab practicles are rough, but it's been great fun learning about the micro-physiology of the human body. Hemostasis has been fun too, but it's only half the summer so it's at a fast pace. Interesting stuff learning about coagulation and fibrinolysis, may come in handy someday as this is a class for Medical Laboratory Science majors, the techs that will be producing the important results we will need to make our diagnoses.

Well, an informal one, just going to my local 4-year university. It's expensive for gas, tolls, tuition, my regular bills, everyone is in a similiar situation with regular undergrad or post bacc. 2 years adds up to a lot of money spent if you don't actually go to medical school. So it's medical school or bust! 😱

Here is my theory: It's west from the early settlers viewpoint (NY region) but not that far out west - so midwest.

I know, and I'm sorry about that. It's not that there's anything wrong with braluk's thread, other than it being off-topic, so that's why I figured I'd add it to this one instead of sending it to the Lounge where no MCATers would see it at all. Technically we're not supposed to have any non-MCAT threads in the MCAT forum, although somehow the random thread has survived all of this time without upsetting the powers-that-be. But I don't think we should push our luck. 🙂

It is. Go down to the very bottom of the list of forums, and you will see the link for the Doctor's Lounge. FYI, if anyone's threads ever get moved to another forum (including the Lounge) from this one, you will see a redirect link here in the MCAT forum. Click on it and it will take you to your thread; this allows you to find your thread, no matter where it has been moved. 🙂

When I merged the two threads, they ordered themselves based on absolute posting time. It's as if those other posts were always a part of this thread now. So if your post 3500 in this thread was made later than X number of the posts in the age/state thread, then your post would get bumped down X positions in this thread after the merging.

Ok, ok, I'm sorry now that I did it. Look at all of the trouble I caused. :meanie:

QofQ farted. its official. sorry had to do it >🙂 (my little poster identification)

at the very least there will be some frantic students posting here and there. i dont even know what imgoing to do, cause i feel like when i check, magically its going to appear. the second i see somethign out of the ordinary, like a score report, im going to quickly turn off the monitor, maybe get myself a beer or a cigarette and just take a deep breath and turn it back on.

haha i am an older brother, just trying to lighten my own mood by being unnecessarily immature. usually i am but just for now, i think ive gotten more and more uncharacteristically out of character come june 20th time
