In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

The kids turning in their apps before scores have more balls than me. I guess I'm a conservative investor...

I just didn't want to get stuck in the 10,000-application backlog that I can imagine building up right after the MCAT scores come out.

Besides, I'm applying widely even if my score is higher than I could imagine, due to fiance-employment issues. And I'm applying to dream schools even if my score is lower than I could imagine, because I'll always regret it if I don't. So why wait? I want to get this thing over with. :scared:

Am I the only person who really DOESN'T want to see a bunch of post padding on here? I'm having trouble keeping up as it is!

Perhaps I am the odd man out here today: I turned my app in the first week. I don't place as much weight on the MCAT as a lot of people I guess due to the fact I am a really strange applicant. I mean to say, there's so much wrong with my academic history that if a school takes me it will be due to some (non-academic) aspect of me they happen to like. Don't get me wrong, I am as nervous as everyone else and would really love to score high. But I've chosen the 23 schools I like and tossed my hat in the ring. Let the MCAT chips fall where they may...

These last hours of waiting are the worst. Monday is going to be the Sllloooooooooowwweeeeeeessssttttt day of my life (other than those 4 days I've spent in labor with my kids)

Has anyone heard what time the scores will be released? Last year they said they were going to be released on the 15th or something, and were released on the 14th at 9 something pm. I would assume at least by midnight eastern time.

So here's a depressing question - which section do you all think you did the worst on?

I'm going to guess PS for me. I just remember back and I was so nervous during that first section (my hands were shaking) that I'm sure I made some dumb mistakes.

My VR score on practice tests was all over the place, though so it could very well be VR that is my lowest.

I felt good about BS. Maybe too good .... watch that be my lowest!

Oh - and I'm very sure that I did the worst on WS by percentiles. But I don't really care about that section! 😉

I felt really good about both sciences, but I think verbal is going to be my low one. I had a little trouble concentrating and the damn proctors were whispering about how tired and hungry they were.

Biology for me, with almost 99% certainty. I'm quite comfortable with the other two but had only ever had 1 semester of bio in my life at that point, and I hate memorization, and I'd forgotten a lot of o-chem.

BS - hands down. But considering I wasn't even done with Intro Bio or Organic, I'm really okay with getting my lowest score there.

i agree with the backlog theory, if it wasn't for the fact that i'm still waiting for my school to send out my transcript I would have submitted all ready too. I don't want to base schools on MCAT because I don't want to have any regrets.

to answer the digression question: I had form EK and I felt good about ps, that has never happened before so I don't realy know what to say about that.

vr did not feel good but bio did not feel to hot either so I'm assuming it will be one of those. I think verbal will be the winner though.

The more time I spend on this thread, the more nervous I get.

I need to start being productive around the house again. I shampooed my downstairs carpet this morning to keep myself off these boards! I'm thinking about doing upstairs tomorrow.

I guess I could clean the kitchen floor. That should eat up a good 30 minutes of my time! 😉

My house is going to be so clean by the time we get scores. Then I'm just going to collapse in joy or sorrow and do nothing for the next week.

I'm a little concerned about the AMCAS verification backlog. I have been ready to submit my app for awhile but I need a minimum MCAT score to apply EDP. I need to make sure I got that score before I submit.

Very stressful ....

Don't take your anxiousness out on the house. Put the shampoo down immediately. Go pick up a video game and enjoy. Those things are the fastest way to make time fly!

Oxeye, I totally can relate. I just feel like I am in limbo....waiting to hear back from a job I applied for, mcat scores, summer school (bchm--yes or no??)...and of course, amcas, and the future!!! that's good that you are busy doing something productive and satisfying. Shampooing carpets is a major calorie-burner!! I must, I repeat I must finish this paper....UGH!! It's not a terrible biggie since I have the abstract done....just need to sit down and do it! best of :luck: .....we will all be on high alert starting tomorrow.

Go to your local grocery store and get a bottle of Martini and Rossi Asti Spumanti. Great and cheap!

Lucky me -- I've been trying to kill time studying biochemistry for my 2.5x speed summer class. It hasn't been working. 😡

On a side note - anyone know where the statistic/curve/whatever that crap is called will be posted for our exam?

See Lifetime doc's link. I also wanted to add that you know the scores will be up soon as soon as you see the data charts up cuz they put the data charts up before they put the scores up.

So if you see the data charts up on Monday you know the scores will most likely be up by Monday night. Stay tuned for that. There won't be a link on the main page annoucning the data charts are up until after scores are up, but you'll notice it if you go to the examinee data link because it will show up there.

Last June that showed up in the morning and scores showed up by evening of the night before they were due to be out according official announcements.

 thanks for the recommendation. Have you ever tried a capirinia???
It's a south american sugar cane drink. It is excellent: tart, icy and sweet!
we shall see what will be on the menu!

I can relate. I am also waiting for word on a job, the MCAT, and now admissions decisions. It is making me depressed.

Just try to stay busy...and go out and take your mind off this stuff!
Everything will be okay before you know it 😀

It is actually illegal to sell alcohol at grocery stores in PA...you can only buy them from state licensed liquor stores.

I'm taking biochem during summer I (5 weeks). Call me wierd but I like biochem. Then again I also liked organic. We're about done with the basics and will start pathways later next week.

The thing I was worried about was that I'm typically pretty bad at memorizing stuff but great and getting concepts down. The 20 AA weren't as bad as I had thought. It can be done if you keep up with the class.

i wish i could turn in my amcas early. my postbac (i got a preadmission offer already to a highly respected school with a great program) will offer me automatic admission contingent upon my MCAT score of around a 30. i have a seat already with my name on it, but depends what my score is. thus i have to update my coursework with my future postbac classes. everything else is done, committee letter, most secondary essays (got alot of topics written out on some secondaries already released this year and some from last year), and personal statement, blah blah. waiting sucks, i hope i dont get a late interview cause of these postbac decisions.

Myself, I'll have to enlist the help of the Irish Car Bomb on Tuesday. Drop in the shot, and 5 seconds later the MCAT score will seem much less important.

2 days to go. My contribution to the 4000000 post goal.

i wish we could somehow have a running timer on this thread, it would really add to the anxiety and flying emotions around here

In my southern state, grocery stores can only sell beer or Smirnoff Twists, neither of which is up for the task of score release. Though I'll have to make an exception to that statement for the Irish car bombs just mentioned.

Depends on what else you're doing... I'm TAing 2x recitation and 2x lab sections of freshman physics, shadowing 2 days a week, volunteering 1 day a week, filling out med school apps, and planning a wedding. So I'm a little stressed. 😱

If you can devote your attn to it, I'd say summer is a GREAT way to get biochem knocked out. The 20aa really aren't as bad as I'd feared, and I really have an aversion to memorization. Am I the only person who didn't notice until the very last minute that biochem was REQUIRED for UTHSCSA?

ughh i have class tuesday 8-12. i will be running to the library every second i get! and i have a dress fitting and bridemaid duties in the afternoon, so i might be freaking out if they don't come out before i head out for that!

but we can't change 'em, no matter what time they come out. i've also been procrastinating my PS, so even if i got a 36, i still have to finish up before i can hit that little submit button!!

ahh, its almost over guys. of course, it might start up again if i re-take in august....

:luck: :luck: :luck: lots of luck to all! :luck: :luck: :luck:

I'm with you on that...I love those! They go down way to smooth though. That has come back to bite me in the a$$ on more than one occasion!

Phew! I finally got caught up on this tread. We moved this weekend and are somewhat settled finally. We still have boxes everywhere, but at least the furniture is mostly in place. I missed a ton of posts on here as a result though. (And all the World Cup games yesterday cuz the a-holes that were supposed to install my cable were several hours late! 😡 )

Anyway, it's good to be back with you guys now that we're getting down to the wire. I haven't looked at my PS since I submitted it to my adviser over a month ago. I'm so afraid I'm going to hate it when I look at it again, but I really want to fnish my whole app tonight, so here goes nothing....
