This is the official countdown thread for the August 2006 MCAT score release. Scores are supposed to be released on October 14th.

FYI...
Not to stress everyone out but if i remember correctly(and I sometimes dont!) I think that the april mcat came out a few days earlier than I expected cause I was checking anyways (paranoid) and actually was suprised to see them up! Am I making this up, verification anyone?

Well, what I've heard thus far is that the release date is the 14th, +/- 2 days. Most seem to suspect that it will occur 10pm, 13th.

yeah aprils came on the day before at 10pm so hopefully it will be released then or beffore.

Didn't the notice on the webpage change to indicate that it would be released at 10 before it actually happened?

Yes, it came up I think that day and said "scores will be released at 10 pm EST" or something along those lines. They actually came out a bit before 10 not much, just somewhere between 9:30 and 10! I retook the MCAT so I am waiting as well, although, the wait this time is not as stressful!

Funny...I have been nonfunctional for about a week just rehearsing the MCAT test day in my mind and freting over my score, and now I don't know what I am going to do when I get it. What if it is just adequate towards what my imagination leads me to believe? See right now, none of us have yet to realize that we didn't make a 45, or whatever.....embrace this sense of something important on the verge. Christmas Eve truly might be better than Christmas. Or, or maybe not. Maybe I should shut the #uck up and let them give us the dam# thing already.

I r3memb3r last time a bunch of pple calling AAMC to ask when would the scores be released. how come no one calls this time around? 😕

I have come to terms with the whole waiting while I am awake, but please, please, please make the dreams stop... this morning I woke up in a panic... in my dream, they released the scores, but just as the page was loading, (in my dream it was GUJUs page, the monitor on my computer sparked and went blank. SO, i raced to campus and every single computer I touched did the same thing. 🙁 I wasnt able to find a computer that worked, but when i finally did, i logged into SDN and EVERYONE was talking about how releived they were to finally get there scores. I was more stressed after going to sleep than before I went to bed... please make it stop.

I vaguely want to puke just from being so nervous now...and this all only started when I logged onto SDN...

DAMMIT why did I log in!!! Arrgh.

I had a dream last night... I got a 2! 🙁 Is that even possible?

Sometimes they give the message other times they didn't.

In the april of 2005, they did not give any message on the front page saying that it would be out at a certain time. It came out on the night before around 8pm or 9pm. I dont remember. I was out at dinner when it came up and then got back in time to see junebugUF had already posted that it had come out.

I'd just refresh Thx friday. sometimes they put the data charts up before the scores come out. The charts that show the percentage of people reaching certain scores.

i remember looking for those alllllll day monday while waiting for my mcat scores in june. they never showed up before our scores! i was desperately hoping for SOMETHING to entertain me while i waited for scores, but no such luck.

I don't think they did that this year, but LAST YEAR aka 2005 April, they did that!!!!!!!

In an hour and 9 minutes we will have 1 day left til potential score release day.

so really it will be more like 1 day and 10 hours or so.

I'm voting on 1 day and 23 hours from now. It would be so awesome for them to come out earlier in the day though so that we can all get on with our Friday evening at a normal hour.

My politics professor knows I'm expecting the scores back at any time and told me I could check to see if my scores are posted during the class break tomorrow. All I know is that the scores better not come in before 2:30 tomorrow...the pressure he and my class would put on me would be terrible!:scared:

Ohhh oopsss I was counting up to 10 am not 10pm. Yeah you are right I guess. LMAO!!!

this Friday coincidentally is my AMSA meeting, so I think this is the perfect time to pester my advisor about all those advisors-get-scores-earlier rumor.

Yeah, this fussing is going to slow me down on all the homework, lab reports, and test studying that I have to do on Fridays.

It's killing me. Today, someone asked me what I had ordered at a restaurant by asking me "what did you get"..and I honestly thought they were talking about my MCAT score.

I'm in France so if the scores come out at 10 pm on the 13th that's 4 am on the 14th for me...so that means I may as well go to sleep Friday night rather than stay up until 4. So I'll have to wait until the 14th even if the scores come out on the 13th... That being said, here it's already the morning of the 12th, and of course I don't really have to wait longer than everyone else 🙂

Lighten up people, life isn’t so cut and dry everything doesn’t have to go according to as planned, in the words of my advisor don’t let school define who you are because before you know, it will be over. Here is a cool video I watched on youtube, interpret it as you wish. After I watched it I was just thinking about how fast time passes by
