Mr Reddly said:(on a side note to my question, I was looking at the prices and kinda thinking/dreaming about a 3 bedroom house with 2-car garage all to my self 😀). Looked like you can get that for the same price as my old 1 bedroom apt here in SoCal 🙁 ... Or maybe the ones I saw on the net were dumps.

NYCguy said:Yeah, there's a pretty big difference in tuition....about 20,000 bucks
NYCguy said:Is anyone else freaked out about the price tag at Case. I'm trying to decide between case and Wayne State my state school. For me the only thing that's really holding me back from going to Case is the price. Is anyone else in a similar situation and going to case next year? I just don't know if it's worth all that money.

kwanny said:Aight... my financial aid package looks alright... 40 grand in loans... 20 grand of which is unsubsidized... damn it... oh well. at least, i got some grant money.
aight... i'm choosing case over emory. = )
When did you send in your fin. app? I got mine yesterday, and when I checked my dates, I found that I sent mine in on 4/17, and I corrected my FAFSA numbers right before that.exmike said:STILL no finaid. Maybe they dont want me anymore 🙁

kwanny said:exmike, if u dun mind me asking, how much of it was from unsubsidized loans?
exmike said:Ok just got it via email. I got $2,400 in grants. WOW thats alot. Better than the nothing i expected though!
So Case Loans are interest free until after residency right?
Kashue said:14,000 in grants with a 2300 efc. Wierd, how did i get more then taehong who had 0 efc? Bottom line: ~160k in debt after 4 years.
Anyway, I withdrew. g'luck guys.

oldtimer said:I wonder if those who sent their app in at the last minute got less aid (grant and Case loan) than those who sent their stuff in early. I got more in grant money even though I had a healthy EFC.
exmike said:My EFC was $9,400.
What was yours? I really didnt expect anything though but I wouldnt be suprised if the late filers got less. Stupid me.
DannGee said:you could be right. i submitted my info early (thought the deadline was earlier than it actually was), and with an EFC around $15,000, I got $4490 in grants and $6500 in Case loans. could it be that the calculation for grant money is based on more than just your EFC?
oldtimer said:Let's just say I had an EFC greater than $15k, got about $4k in grant and $6k in Case loan. If Kashue got a grant of $14k, then this suggests to me that another factor is at play. In addition to considering financial need, Case may allocate more grant money to students with better academic credentials to entice them to come.
ya, but I think most of it has to do with Mike and his BOLD updatesjuddson said:hey, we rock. Not bad for a midwestern school most often confused with a military academy.
