Anyone in here having problems sleeping.......gosh I can't sleep at all !! I have complete insomnia now, I am so worried sick 🙄 urggg......at least we have less than 72 hours to go :scared:

If in, I will make plans soon. Maybe Feb 9-12 or something. Maybe in March. Soon I hope. 27 acres of hill country with horses, cows and goats. Hot tub on the porch looking out to the hills. BBQ and beer.

What it do people? The best way to keep your mind off the match in Htown is to go to downtown and celebrate with the super bowl crowd...... Believe tha playas.
 
Just wanted to let everyone know that the "Last Updated" field likely has NOTHING to do with your matching. Why do I say this? Because after freaking out that I'd forgotten to send in my Fall transcript I had one sent out.

Guess what? My "Last Updated" field reads todays date.

Hope that settles the minds of the anxious. 👍

I honestly feel as though this is causing needless anxiety. I called TMDSAS and they told me that the last action date had nothing to do with the match. Mine is 1/15/04. Did I match to the one school I applied to on the day the submissions were due? Am I rejected? I have no idea and will not until 2/1/04 at 12:01am CST. In general, I believe this would have been common knowledge that would not be questioned this late in the game. If this happened year after year, all we would do is check the LAST ACTION DATE to determine whether we have been accepted? It just doesn't sound right.

Doesn't it kill you to know that the match results have all been completed?!? I remember what it felt like, but it's a right-of- passage and trust me it will be the best Feb 1st 12:01am in your life. It was the first time my dream of being a doctor was actually a reality. I just wanted to say good luck to everyone. I also noticed that a lot of people on this board are shooting for SA so I wanted to make a comment. 95% of the students UTHSCSA interviewed this year were ranked as ones. I don't mean the match I mean how your application is ranked when you are being considered for an interview--many of you have talked about the system where your application is reviewed and designated as a 1 (definitely interview) 2 or a 3 (don't interview) and I believe Dr. Jones referenced it on the interview day according to one of the posts I read. ANyhow, just remember that if you don't get in. It means that the quality of students interviewed was very high and that the reason you might not have matched with the school probably has nothing to do with you as a person or as your potential to be a good doctor. Sometimes this process is just very random. Plus you will hear this over and over--all of the TX schools are of great quality and place students in residencies all over the country and where ever you get into you will be receiving a great education.

good grief, y'all are making me nervous :scared: i've been visiting preallo much more than i've intended to lately - sucked in by the countdown thread! :laugh:

it will be a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful feeling though when the dream of being a doctor becomes a reality for all of you great folks on this thread. as it will, come 12:01 feb 1st! 😉

here's hoping to good news, oh, 48ish hours from now... 😎

Originally, my last action date was 1/16, but has changed twice to 1/24 and then to 1/29. Hmmmm

Yeah, I was thinking about that too... Someone should create a Texas Match Results thread with a poll at the top. That way, it would show in general how many matched where, and people could also announce where they matched...
 
Yes, good idea! A poll! Brilliant! Ah yes, the poll choices could be the names of the TX schools! And perhaps even an extra selection for "not matched," although it will clearly be unnecessary for such a talented group as us. Oh my goodness, where is the houston rockets guy with his players countdownizzle??

1) they just want to get matched to at least one school and be a doc
2) are fairly certain they are getting in and want to be matched to their top school

i leave for a few hours and the needless discussion and speculation reappears....we don't need that my Texas SDNizzles....i took powwow's advice and hit up tha Super Bowl parties in downtown H-tizzle....and from one playa to all the Texas playas...let me tell you it was defintely off da hizzle fo shizzle....for all my Htown SDNizzles, I highly suggest hittin it up in downtown H-tizzle till tha Match results come up...a good way to keep tha mind distracted....

but now its time to get back to business....for No Egrizzle and all tha rest of my Texas SDNizzles....let tha countdizzle contizzle...fo shizzle...less than 46 hrs...believe tha playas😎
