It would seem odd if they were sending invites based on alphabetical order. Then I'll be near the end :scared:

Yeah it would be odd, but telling myself that is the only thing keeping me from going crazy right now...

Ok, it's not keeping me from going crazy...lets be honest...BUT at least it's some type of explanation lol:xf::laugh::xf:

Did you guys have your cheques cashed yet? I sent in my cheque weeks ago to Columbia and still nothing from them 🙁
 
ive been looking at columbias entrance gpas and dats
with a 3.5 and 21aa an great EC's i mightve actually had a longshot if i had applied

I still don't know if my check is cashed or not -_-.... I contacted them today to ask but there system is currently down. I also sent my check weeks ago.. I'll let you know when I hear back.
 
I called Columbia today to check the status of my application...the lady told me that their system crashed today.

My check was cashed in 08/13. I sent mine in 07/27.

No interview invite yet though- must be my LORs that are holding my application up. Ugh...

yeaaa im on the same boat with you.. submitted everything but my LORs got sent out on the 6th. hella late. I prolly wont hear from the schools until beginning of september 🙁

do you HAVE to have 3 science LORs for app complete? I have 2 sci 1 dentist and 1 more sci on the way. i really hope that's not what is holding my app at columbia 🙁
 
My check wasn't cashed yet, but I was invited to interview... Don't get it, but don't care. Wahooo! I'm still excited lol
 
how do you guys know when checks are cashed or not??
i sent my checks a while ago and i haven't heard anything from schools. and i've tried looking at each school for application status websites or numbers to call..

ohhh ok. i thought schools actually notified you. guess i was nervous about not hearing from schools about checks being cashed for nothing. thanks guys.

i'm sure if you were to ask them, they would say that you have to have 3 sciences and seem very set on that... but i've seen on sdn that people in the past have gotten accepted/interviews without having the 3rd science LOR

In my case, I JUST (last week Friday) sent them my 3rd science LOR.. and I got an interview invite today (Monday), so I highly doubt that they had it or had time to make a decision about my invite after they got the letter. I feel like they must have deliberated before today about interviews. So that would mean that they didn't have my LOR when deciding to send me an interview invite (if that is the case). Of course every situation is different, and maybe it was a fluke and they just didn't realize that I didn't have all 3.. who knows!

they cashed the check on 7/12 and i got the "file complete" email on 7/19. have you received an invite to either of the az schools yet?
 
Congrats to everyone who has gotten invites! Everyone who is still waiting, keep your heads up as its still very early in the game.

I got one from ECU a couple of weeks ago and heard from Columbia today.

Yeah invite at Midwestern, but nothing from ASDOH. You? Have you gotten any other OOS interviews? My mail date was 7/2 but due to a lagging LOR I didnt get the file complete email till 7/22.

I have 2 sci 1 dentist and I got an interview invite. I've heard this has not stopped other applicants from getting interviews from columbia in the past.

ah excellent. there is no need to worry then. My app is just very late, my DAT scores should have arrived just Friday, there is still hope :X!

Yeah, I also got a Midwestern invite. The only other invite I have so far is from Case Western. What about you? Do you live in the valley?
 
got an invite from columbia today - to other people who got an invite, was there any travel info attached? in the email it says she attached travel information, but there was none...
 
I also want to know about travel information for Columbia. hopefully they send another e-mail tomorrow with the info. Did anyone schedule a date yet? I schedule for September 24th.

Just wondering...has anyone from the 7/23 mailing date gotten an interview at Columbia. I'm really hoping I get one.
 
Got an interview invite yesterday from Case Western. Made the appointment this morning . . . for Dec. 3rd.

I thought I was applying early but now I won't even be interviewed there until after the first wave of acceptances. Kinda pissed..

When was your AADSAS mailing date?
 
7/23. So still early for this application cycle. I also got an interview at Midwestern -AZ for Oct. 12th.

was that the earliest possible date? I got invited for an interview through AADSAS at case but havent recieved a package in the mail yet. Shoulud I just call right now and book it?
 
Yeah that was the earliest date, so I took it. So yeah if I was you I'd just call and say I was invited for interview and see what dates they have next. Hope it helps.
 
8/6 😳 I guess it will be a while before I hear from any schools at all.

Hope still can get some pre-dec 1 interviews 😳
