**Official Maryland Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread**

Got an interview invite yesterday! I’m OOS.

AADSAS processed: 6/26
Supplemental Received: 8/6
 
Received an interview invite yesterday for 10/29! I'm OOS and a second year re-applicant (did not apply to Maryland last year).

AADSAS processed: 6/24
Supplemental received: 8/1
 
Those of you who already had the interview, any insights you can share? I have mine this upcoming week.
 
Does anyone know when The school is finished sending out predecember interviews? And will there be post December invites as well? (First time applicant so I’m not familiar with the dates)
 
How long did it take for resubmitted letter of recommendation take to be received?

When I had my dentist resubmit his, I believe it was accepted within the matter of days.

The thing is, they are probably focusing on finalizing people they 'interviewed' so far, which by default means that they are taking longer to update applications.

This is my assumption... Still patiently waiting to hear back from them. I check e-mails every 2 mins... lol
 
Not a super relevant question, but to those who already had an interview what was the lunch like? I'm vegetarian and debating packing a back up snack in my purse.

I just had mine today and I had a veggie sub! When you confirm your interview on the phone, make sure you let them know your dietary restrictions and they will try to accommodate your order for lunch!

They have options if you have dietary restrictions!
 
I submitted supplemental August 11, and still haven't gotten interview. Should I reach out?

Its Baltimore. Depending on which street you are walking on, you may feel like you are a bit “out of place.” However, for the most part, I think the area near the school is pretty safe to walk around as the dental school is surrounded by pharmacy school, law school, and other medical buildings. Just don’t expect something like the 5th avenue in the New York city 😉.

I’m also waiting to hear back from the school... Checking emails every 15 mins hasnt been so healthy to my mental health 🙁.

Hey, if anyone has a Hotmail or Microsoft email for their application, I highly recommend switching it to a Gmail. After consulting with other students, I found out that some AADSAS emails have been getting blocked by the Hotmail security measures. Supposedly I received a Maryland supplemental email a few weeks ago, but didn't find out until after I changed my email to a Gmail, and recently received a follow up. It seems to only be a problem for Hotmails though.

How was the interview day overall? Anything unique? Interview vibe? Thanks, would really appreciate any advice.

I submitted my secondary in mid July and didn't hear anything until I got an email last week saying my supplemental was received. Not sure why there was such a gap between those dates, but it sounds like maybe things are just moving slower on Maryland's end?

I submitted the supplementary around 9/6/19 and have not heard from them since. :nailbiting:
 
Has anyone that hasn't received an interview yet gotten a decision on their in-state candidacy from the secondary application?

Me, I submitted the secondary and a long while later I got the recidency email. Still no interview yet but remaining hopeful

How long after did you get that email? I called but they just told me they were backed up with secondaries and haven't gotten to it yet.

I submitted my supplemental on 9/2/19 and I haven't heard from them either..........

Like a solid 20-28 days. And the crazy thing is I submitted the supp and they sent confirmation emails, but like 20ish day later they said they recieved the supp and everything was getting reviewed.

Gotcha, yeah I submitted the secondary and then got the "thank you for completing the secondary application" email about a week later and then nothing since then. It's been a month now. I've been checking my email like crazy lol
 
Does anyone know if they're sending out more secondaries? If we haven't received one at this point should we not expect one?
 
I just got an invite from Maryland. I submitted my secondary one month ago. OOS student.
 
I just received an invite. OOS. My secondary was sent in August 7.
 
Just got interview for November 20th! OOS, cGPA 3.88, DAT 23AA, 21 PAT.
AADSAS verified 6/6, Maryland supplemental received/submitted 8/9, verified complete on 8/30.
 
I have not heard back from the school yet. Is it a good idea to call and say that this school is a top choice for me, so I would appreciate if they can update me on my application status?
 
I got the 13th of November. Very excited, good luck to everyone!
 
Does anyone have any suggestions for good hotels around the area (that also have parking)? Also, how is traffic in the morning? Is it okay to get a hotel a few miles out of the city and still make it to my interview on time?
