Fine. But waitlist applicants from next year and beyond will have a rough time trying to combine the two lists into one. The official waitlist movement thread actually contains 2002-2005 movement as well. Some poor kids next year will feel hopeless when waitlisted because they will think that their waitlists will not move at all (when in fact the waitlist movement is on another thread).

I feel like the waitlist situations at schools change so much from year to year anyway, and SDN is certainly not necessarily representative of the total applicant population, I only found out about this site this last Feb when interview season was almost over... if people are really interested they can search out any thread they want from any year! I think future applicants will be encouraged about the miracles of 2006 waitlist movement....

but for the sake of compromise, I'll post my recent waitlist acceptance on the other thread as well

Yeah it especially makes me happy when the underdog gets an acceptance, because I've seen what my friends went through with waitlists and struggling because their verbal or some other aspect of their MCAT bringing them down, or other such things like that.

After 11 interviews 7 waitlists and 0 acceptances 🙁 , I got an email today saying that a withdrawal receipt letter was accidently sent to me from Albert Einstein, that it would be rescinded, and that I am being accepted. I haven't gotten the official email yet, but all weirdness aside, I am going to be a doctor, and I don't have to reaply!!!! Yay! 😀 🙂 😀
