Just got my interview invite today after receiving the GW "application on hold" email yesterday. It's my first interview and I'm set to go for 11/30. I guess the USC t-shirt that I wore today brought me luck!

kalenakai: I think some ppl probably decided to switch dates or something because there were some odd spots open when I began to register for a date to interview. I was about to click October 29th but someone else did before I got a chance....

Is it grueling? or relaxed? what time did you finish?

I, too, only had 3 dates to choose from in December! I was like, this isn't a choice! you are forcing me! I almost considered calling them for a different date...

Also, from a map, Burbank airport is a LOT closer to the campus than the USC campus so you might consider flying into there instead.

How do you guys plan on getting from the airport to the USC health sciences campus? If I'm not mistaken, the two are quite some distance apart. Would a cab fee be outrageous? USC suggests not using public transit (change buses and trains 3 times and takes 90min) . . . any thoughts?

I received an email from Keck about a week and a half after I submitted my secondary.

By now, it's pretty late, unless you think your application would really grab their attention. You could also try calling the admissions office and asking them about it.

For what it's worth, the adcom doesn't start offering acceptances until the end of November...though it seems like interviews are now booked through late November/early December.

Keck sent me an email said my application is complete last Tuesday, I wonder when they will call me for interview/rejection. I'm out of state student. I saw some of you got interview just 4 days or a week and half after complete the secondary. Hopefully I will hear good news from them soon.

I never received a completion email...just an email interview invite.

I've been complete at USC since July but haven't heard anything about an interview but i haven't gotten a rejection either. I'm really curious as to what's going on there. I'm pretty sure I've been rejected since people who are complete in sept. have gotten interviews already. I guess that's one more to cross off the list...bummer 🙁

really? my interviewer told me the committee meets every tuesday night and would send out acceptances/rejections immediately if the committee decision is unanimous, put you on waitlist if it isn't..

Hmm...I didn't ask my interviewers what the procedures are. In the interview invite email, though, it's stated that the Admissions Committee meets from late November through May...and that we'll be notified as soon as a decision is made.

P.S. When did you interview? Did you have a good time?

Darn. I guess I didn't read that part, and here I am ambushing the mailman every day.. I even had a dream that I got the letter! oh well..

I interviewed about a week and a half ago and loved it! 😍 it's just a shame about the tuition..

To be exact, they sent me an email saying that they had received my check. Since I already completed my secondary, so to me, it's like email confirmed my complete application.

I just got back from 'SC and really liked it. LAC def offers and experience that would be hard to find elsewhere. And as far as cost . . . it's kind of like the application process . . . it's not real money, right?

Anyone else interviewing on Friday, December 9th? I'll be there! I'm flying down from Portland (OHSU interview) on 12/8 and will be in LA until 12/11. My friend told me that the Burbank Airport is closer to USC (at least you don't have to cross downtown LA during rush hour from LAX), so that's where I'm flying to.

i got an interview invite 11/2. was completed 10/3
just in case u want to know, the earliest available interview date was 1/11 when i went to the scheduling page.

Fly into Burbank! I just drove to USC from Burbank where my brother lives, and it's a quick 20 minute drive right down I5. I had to be there at 7:30 AM, and if you need to be there later then add another 10-15 minutes for traffic.

Basically, if you are driving from Burbank I would allot yourself exactly 1 hour to find USC, park, and get to the admissions office. I had 5 minutes to spare and drank a coffee at the local starbucks next to the admissions office.

10 days, roughly speaking. I submitted the secondary on 8/16, but my complete LOR packet didn't go out until 9/1 or 9/2. Rec'd the interview invite via email on 9/13.

i submitted mine last week. they say the deadline is the 1st of december i believe. the essays were all pretty short and straightforward. whats the trouble?

I really don't have any "official" leadership experience...and one of the essay questions asks to list a SUMMARY of most recent and relevant leadership 🙁

Hey guys, I just got a waitlist letter yesterday (bummer), so they're definitely making some decisions already. Acceptances should be starting soon, too, I guess. I interviewed on 10/14, was complete in early August, and got invited near the end of August.

To answer MB in SD's question I received an invite about 2 hours after I got an e-mail saying I was complete (and I was complete 4 days after mailing them my check from the East Coast). I interviewed 10/21 and recived an acceptance letter in the mail today (yay). The best acceptance letter I've received thus far, really well done, good job USC. Best of luck everyone.

Hey Dakota, I must have interviewed the same day as you. Congrats on your acceptance! I also just found out a week or so ago that I got in (they do have a pretty sweet acceptance letter huh), and I'm still waiting on other schools but I'd say there's a solid chance I'll be there next fall. Any chance you'll go?

I also interviewed 10/21 and got an acceptance 🙂 It came as a big packet from what I know (b/c it went to my permanent address).

For those who have sent the deposit, do you know if it can be a personal check or does it have to be a money order/cashier's check? Is the deposit refundable if you decide to withdraw before May 15?
