There was a guy interviewing the same day as me from Minnesota though, so i'm sure if you have the stats you'll at least get an interview. Just curious, why would you want to come to MCO?

I know there are only two seats available, so I am working hard to get my stats up to the top for my best shot at a seat. Being from MN I enjoy the climate, which is quite similar to MCO. My wife will also be applying to a physical therapy school nearby which puts MCO on my list, those are a few reasons among others. Thank you for your reply.

Just curious, has anyone started looking for housing? I'm sure it's eary, but I wonder how fast places go? I've looked on the housing site that PCO has started, but it looks like they only list complexes.

I was just curious when everyone is going to start looking. And, I wonder if most people look for random roommates or get singles? I'm still trying to decide about that one. People were telling me that the sooner you find sometihng, the better.

What's everyone else doing?

Well, it's been a long process. Well I think a lot of contributing factors have led me to decide between OSU and SCCO. These included: Costs, Quality of Clinic experience, Overall costs, scholarship offerings, a good library to study at

, Campus/student resources, Overall academic education and preparation for board exams, quality of learning environment, student body and religion, Demographics (could I live in this area?). These are general catagories I have considered. I have heard that most of the optometry schools prepare you very well for a residency if you're interested. I would highly recommend it. It takes a good optometrist 5 years to learn what a resident would learn in 1 year. Most of the O.D.s that I have talked to say most optometry schools will give you a great education give or take a few....you just have to figure out where you would be happy living. Any further detailed questions are welcome. Best of luck to you!
