At a hospital-based ortho program, you are asked " So, why would you choose this program?." My honest answers will be:
1. Well, I would like to match to ANY program.
2. The stipend is a good thing to receive.

Obviously, I cannot say those at an interview. What are some of the benefits that hospital-based programs can provide that others cannot? Please advise.

Saying "the stipend" is an honest answer. It is something significant that sets apart the program from the others. The program knows that it has an advantage over many others out there because of the stipend. Everyone knows debt these days is drowning people. If you want the answer everyone gives, it is to say that hospital based programs often provide a very clinical experience and you have the opportunity to treat a lot of craniofacial deformities you may not see otherwise.
