I was shooting for after MSI. I know a lot of us have prior medical experience, I just thought it more appropriate to actually be attending medical school when we go......lol.. not like we would be doing major surgery or anything😉:clap:

I am still alive just been too occupied to post.

i will not be able to attend the new student day 6 Feb but I was told there would be another one in the summer.

thought i would say nice to meet everyone.

I don't mean to sound too much like a nerd, but we don't have to were a suit to this thing Friday do we??? That would suck!

but I'm willing to sacrafice my comfort level for the good of the group...lol
 
You don't have to wear a suit. Khaki pants (or something similar) and a decent shirt/sweater will be just fine. 🙂

Welcome to all the incomings this fall.............. Like DrMom says, enjoy your time now, cuz in August, anatomy and histo own you!!

Last year, about 20 of us got together before orientation and had dinner and went out... I suggest doing something along those lines to meet some new classmates!!

Is this Honduras trip to Catacamas and is it going to be a regular trip?
 
I believe that's where they went. I didn't get to go. 🙁

Jonathan goes to Honduras every year as far as I know. He is the one who set everything up. I would anticipate it being a regular trip as long as he is going to school here (he graduates in 2006), but hopefully someone will carry on the tradition once we get students going regularly.

It's OK...DrMom & I go way back.....to church that is.....long story short....she's a reason I'm so confident about the decision to attend OSU-COM...only place I would EVER think to go!!!!

Hey all, we were at table 10. It was a good day, I am so pumped. I was the one draggin' the pregnant lady around. I met ironmanba's dad in the bathroom. A very nice fellow. I met Dr. Mom too and Fenrezz was at my table.
 
I was at table 9...the really attractive bald man. you might have noticed my tie/shirt combo, and how i was going with "pattern on pattern"...the wave of the future, I tell you.

Chimi's worked well last year. They let us reserve for a pretty large group.

I don't know of any classes with shirts, but many shirts get sold as fundraisers. You might want to hold off in case your class wants to make one for that reason. 🙂

Yesterday was a BLAST!(except the boring part)

Did anyone have a similar experience?: My wife after the OMT demo.... WANTS a Table soon...... She cannot wait for me to start OMT...

Oops... I forgot I already have plans 🙁 . We're going on a little vacation. It's this awesome ranch place in Antlers, Ok. It's our last little getaway before the baby and med school.

What's up boys....(I say boys b/c i've yet to see a female acceptee on here) but yeah, I was hoping to get into this whole hang out/get to know eachother event planning that seems to be going on. If you all pick a time and place, i would be most humbled and honored to attend🙂 Also, I too went to ASD and had a blast, saw xray again, which was great...even my mom commented on how nice and personable you seemed (just by observation). Oh and kwooder, my dad also mentioned that you both had a wonderful conversation in the restroom😛 He didn't mention it until after the day was over, or else I would have loved to have met you and your wife. Anyway, I've gotten sporadic about checking the boards ever since school started back up, so I just wanted to post and make sure i'm not forgoten quite yet🙂 I am really enjoying the comraderie that already seems to exist and look forward to getting to know you all better and better as we near the beginning of school...ciao

The ASD was great.... I was trying to pass the word around to come to this site and post messages.... I was hoping we could be able to recruite more people into the system........ Well, I wonder if anyone new is listening.....HINT HINT>>>> My wife was realy impressed with everyone, I think she finally got a scope on the intensity of the schooling. She laughed at me before the meeting when I told her that I would be at school from 7am to 9-10pm every day of the week except Sunday..... Now she is a believer..... She was also thrilled to see that other people had kids and she coudl be involved in the clubs and organizations.....
OK< OK Here is another idea for school also.....Since there are a few of us that are here in BA (barring we don't buy a house closer) how about setting up a car pool thing.... its cheaper, environmentally friendly, and most importantly will force me to be on time,,,,lol

ironman, tell your mom thanks,,, does that mean I have to keep up that image for 4 more years,,,,lol

DrDad, you keep planning the way you are, and it might get you elected for one of the 5 billion clubs we have.......lol

why don't you guys go a little more upscale and hit something like mahogany's or the polo grill or something? you're only going to do the pre-school starting SDN get together once-- do it right 🙂 trust me, in four years you're gonna be so in debt anyway-- what's another 100 bucks or so? besides, you'll get *all* the tex mex you can handle from other student get togethers.

no big deal-- it just an idea that didn't involve beans, rice and cheese and had a little more atmosphere. if you want a real "experience" for dinner, head over to casa bonita's. i live right up the street and could join you along with a handfull of flyswatters to whack the cockroaches with 🙂

what date did you guys settle on? i may be able to attend if you want a 4th year to show you guy that people do actually survive medical school without *too* much damage.
 
As the saying goes, the more the merrier........ I promise we won't treat you like that weird relative that shows up at the holidays.... well, I better not promise that.....lol
