I'm actually in a position to test the veracity of this claim.

We'll have to go have a beer sometime, Mr. Crazybob.

 If you can come up with a plan before the 4th, we could make it happen 👍

But I should let you know, I don't really like beer. I prefer margaritas, vodka, and occasionally some tequila.

Cool, we'll have to work something out.

If I'm never heard from again, it'll tell the SDN community something as well. So, it all works out alright in the end!

When I finally convinced my parents to get me an SNES, they told me I would have to sell my NES to help pay for it... broke my heart. Had like 15 or so games, and the Max and Advantage controllers (tarbo button YEAAAAAAAAH)

It still get played somewhat regularly. A Link to the Past... Super Metroid... Chrono Trigger... Final Fantasy VI... man, I'll have to go home and bust out some Donkey Kong Country

I still have my NES. You can come play Double Dragon II with me. I also have the powerpad if you want a workout 🙂

It's like a whole other country, bro. There's just as high a percentage of not-nice ones here, too.

I guess I just got lucky  Could it mean that girls from Texas who are smart enough to go to a private school would tend to be nice? Or would that just be a coincidence?

Ah.....but do you have R.O.B.?

Didn't that thing only have one game?

Hey, I have an assortment of games including P.O.W, dragon warrior, zelda, link, some racing games, galaga, tetris, all the marios and many more 🙂

I was somewhat of a gamer girl. I worked at GameWorks in Tempe for a year and a half. Talk about an awesome job. All I did was play games all day, sell game cards and get free stuff.

I plastered my first one with stickers from the back of an issue of Nintendo Power. I thought I was the coolest kid in school. 😀

Edit: I wasn't. 🙁

My SNES still has them, I think.

The power button says "Go!" and the reset button is something like "Caution!" .... I think.

God, Nintendo Power. I'd get so excited every month waiting for it to show up. I wonder if I still have them boxed up somewhere.... that would be the most wonderful thing to find, ever.

Anyone remember the Sega Genesis 32X (32 bit add-on thing)? I got my 'rents to spring for that, they never bought me ANYTHING except that, and it turned out to be a complete bust.

Blech!

Lol a complete bust was the sega dream cast. I bought it when it first came out and it was popular for few months then completely disappeared.

Game Gear was the ****

The Dreamcast really wasn't that bad. It had several fun games, they just made a lot of mistakes in marketing it and stuff. SEGA had their heads so far up their own butts, even though the Saturn was an utter failure, that they were obtuse to the market.

Well the Dreamcast, because of its logo, always reminded me of Cinnamon rolls lol. That and I loved Crazy Taxi when I was younger.

I think about the only game I ever liked on Saturn was Daytona USA.

Crazy taxi was amazing and that one boxing game. I loved the VMU concept with their sonic game. You could play games and have a virtual pet. It was an exciting time for me in grade school lol.

Well, I have always been intrigued by the way the internet can be used as a mask. So many people are different online than they are in person. People tend to be more themselves online. I dunno its just weird to me. Im always skeptical.

My momma always told me never put anything in writing I wouldn't say to the world.

I am myself online but I'm a little more objective and less controversial than I would be in real life because I don't personally know people through the internet so I have no reason to be otherwise.

Well, your eyes could make you look slightly different though. Even if you had black hair or something, if your eyes were green or blue, people would be calling you white

I have this problem... I have really dark hair and green eyes so people don't know wtf I am. Half the time people speak to me in spanish and the other time they swear I am white. I'm actually only 75% spanish/latin so I guess that's why.

Daytona USA did look really good, even pretty close to the arcade version... Ahh, memories.

When I am finally done with school and buy a house, I want a set of 4 Daytona USA arcade games in my basement. I must've spent hundreds of dollars on that game when I was younger lol

I downloaded Crash Bandicoot the other night of the PS Store and was shocked when the game loaded. I remembered it looking utterly spectacular at the time. I guess I forgot how primitive it was lol

You wanna talk awkward, I am friends with several people online right? I started going to a particular set of message boards in 1998 and have been talking to the same group of people since then. Two of them I have been rather close to the entire time to the point where we all text each other just about every day.

Well one of them I made a groomsman in my wedding. I had only physically met him once before, the previous summer, so it was quite awkward to explain to friends and family how precisely I knew him lol

On facebook, I am myself even though I might not seem like it to some people when I see them in person. It's hard to show emotions and proper tone when I talk to my friends on facebook.

Do you ever use that to your advantage? Oh, and do you understand much of the spanish they speak to you?

Yea I don't alter my persona in anyway whether its online or in person. I don't believe in creating a false image of myself.

Who do you guys think are goin to the super bowl?

I vote Saints and Colts, maybe vikings too i dunno

but you know people are naturally more expressive on the internet because they can hide behind a computer. Im pretty sure this is a fact.

Oh I agree completely. In fact I used to be a lot more comfortable behind a computer screen, due to some anxiety issues I used to have, but that fact is what helped me get over my problems with talking to people in public.

Probably the only big difference, if anyone ever met me, is that I have a bit of a fat tongue when I talk at times. An orator I am not lol

Yeah that would get kinda awkward. I know one girl in my class from pharmacy school who knew this girl I met in high school. They had been in the same sorority, and the girl from high school would talk about her friend who was going to my school for pharmacy. Well, I added her friend on facebook, and met her few days later. It wasn't very awkward at all, because we had mutual friends and I could talk to her about something.

I know another girl I used to talk to on AIM and Xanga when I was in high school. She knew my friends from high school and all-region band, so we all talked to each other. My best friend was from that all-region band, and I got to talk to some of her friends on AIM. I met one of her friends who was a lifeguard in my hometown. It didn't seem so awkward because we also had many mutual friends, and she was prettier than I thought she would be 👍 Anyway, that other girl lives in a different county, and I still haven't met her, but she knows some people from my undergrad that went to high school with her. So when I asked my friends in undergrad about that girl, they knew her and they would talk to her about me sometimes.

Let me know if it's still confusing

I don't know what the hell that said, but the colors sure were pretty lol

The different colors referred to different people.

Red = girl who is friends with me on facebook, but I haven't met her, but she knows my best friend.
Blue = my best friend
Green = girl who is a lifeguard and knows my best friend from high school.

Ok, I drew out a map with some bubbles and now it's all so clear!

 Those three girls used to comment on my xanga posts back in high school. From that, we knew each other's AIM screen names, so we would talk on that. Then later on, I added all three of them on facebook, and now I just talk to my best friend and that girl I still haven't met. I would talk to that girl who was a lifeguard, but it's been so long since we have talked.
