I think those scores are competitive anywhere. You can't even do much better on your Q! I wouldn't retake. Now, the programs you mentioned are still really competitive, so who knows... but at this point, I would focus on other parts of your application rather than retaking the GRE.
yea dude... above a 90th percentile is absolutely fantabulous for anywhere. however, i wouldn't necessarily count on just your gre's to carry you over if you have a poor gpa/experience. both davis and csu are the biggest crapshoots in the world so i don't think anyone can say that you need x gre, y gpa, z amount of a, b, and c experiences to get accepted. with your gre scores, you definitely have not closed any doors though.
i got into csu with my
measly 590v/760q along with THE osu and penn out of state, but not even an interview with davis. davis told me that i would have been competitive as an in state applicant, but that they only take very special out of state students, and frankly i was just a good but not special applicant
🙄. based on the few people i know who have gotten into davis oos, i have to say i think it's true. they are very special, and it's not about just increasing your scores and animal/vet experiences. if you're wondering what it takes to be special, then you're probably not it
😛.
lol, don't despair though. like i said, total crapshoot. my ug school has a pretty good legacy of sending peeps to penn and tufts, and i was pretty much told the same thing about needing to be "special" with csu as well. that the only person who's gotten into csu from my ug was transgender... and i was like
😱. can't beat that, when it comes to uniqueness. but here i am.
