I am from northern Utah and did a summer research project as USU several years ago and can confirm it's a beautiful area and a great campus.

I'm pretty sure it's 40. 20 IS and 20 OOS. I'm also OOS and haven't heard anything yet since submitting.

FYI, on a Q and A meeting today they said they still have not filled all the spots. So there is still hope. They did not say how many spots or how many are in state vs out of state.

I believe there were about 30 first year students in the zoom

That is what I remember as well. I am sure there was at least a couple students that couldn’t make it but hopefully they will get the rest of the spots filled soon.

There will be an email sent with the PowerPoint that we went over to those who have already accepted the admissions. There was an email link sent out to those individuals as well. If you accepted your admission and didn’t get the link I’m sure you could reach out to Kadie and see what might have happened. She’s very helpful and extremely supportive!

I emailed them last week and they said they should be available on VMCAS “by the end of the month” but so far they don’t have a great track record for meeting deadlines like that lol

Yeah, I guess so. I emailed admissions almost 3 weeks ago and haven't gotten a response. I also emailed Ryan last Friday and haven't gotten a response.

I emailed admissions 1 week ago and the email said this "Our selection committee is actively reviewing applications and notifying applicants as decisions are made. We appreciate your patience as we work through the final stages of the process."

For context I've applied via VMCAS in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and then to Utah. Made many changes. Have 1,000's of hours with small animal and exotics. Volunteer work with large animals. Worked as a tech since 2016 in GP, ER, Mobile clinic, Specialty (where I've worked across 8 different veterinary specialities and have been scrubbed in brain, spine, and open heart surgeries many times), and now holistic medicine for the past year. It's all starting to feel like a game of luck at this point.

Apparently I did not get in because they did not even review my application which I suppose is better than not getting in because of rejection. They said “
Due to the unique circumstances of our application cycle, including the rolling nature and abbreviated timeframe, your application was not reviewed. Our records indicate that because of the late date of submission, your application was not "in the queue" to be sent to the selection committee until after our seats were filled. We strongly encourage you to apply for our 2026 cycle through VMCAS. As long as you complete the application by the VMCAS deadline, your application will be considered.” I submitted in April but my second LOR wasn’t until may so that probably pushed me back in the queue 🙁

That’s crazy bc they shouldn’t have set a later “deadline” to submit applications (May 23rd). Like that’s proof they just sucked up everyone’s application fees who submitted for over a month after when the queue was stopped?. A bad look.
