Dude,
After a couple of the 1st batch getting invited tonight made me feel like I didn't do so well on my interview... 🙁 I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens!!! Keep the acceptance going guys!!! congrats to sego and eddie!!! I knew buggin her for this many times would pay off, maybe I should start doing that too!!! hhaha I'm just kidding seriously though congrats!!!

i hope i get into a school.. i actually like pacific and i have family there.. i have been praying and somehow the interview at pacific made me feel better.. i even walked out smiling. i know my interview was not the greatest.. but it was a load more better than the one at NOVA ( i cried after tht interview)

I think, you should call or at least e-mail her if you haven't done it. They may compare you with 2nd batch.
If you get to the waitlist, you still have a chance. I saw from last year's post that there was someone who got in after being #23 on the waitlist.
I believe you also had interviews from two other schools, right?

hey my application got submitted to review today, I was wondering what interview do you think I will be eligible for? also when is the next interview, if anyone knows.My application is very competitive but my application got in much later than expected do to transcripts being lost etc. and I see on here that there are several that have already been accepted, I wonder how many out of 85 have been filled...

we know that 20 were initially accepted out of the 1st interview date. Then we added at least 2 more on Monday. It will probably be another 20 from this passed Saturday's date. So around mid 40's (speculation). Vanessa said they will continue to do interviews until the class is filled or through February - which ever happens first. I wouldn't worry about what group you will be in - nothing can be changed now - congrats on getting your stuff in though. Typically, there are 3 weeks between the first few interview dates. The last couple of interview dates last year were really close together - so it is hard to say. The interviews are taking place nearly a month earlier than last year - so speculation is difficult. Best thing to do would be to drop Vanessa an email - if she can answer you, she will.
Just an interesting tidbit concerning my application process - I am yet to receive my official interview invite, and yet my interview was completed on the 18th... Go fig??? 😀

Hey guys! I just got an email/voicemail from Vanessa inviting me to the third round of interviews! The next interview is in Dec 9. Whew! I didnt think I was gonna get one esp since I submitted my app the day before the preferred deadline.

If you go back 2-3 pages, you will have all your answers. But recap, PDX is the local airport and I stayed at Marriot about 5 miles away. You should take the MAX train into the school b/c it stops right in front of it.
Be sure to check out the interview feedback page before you ask for any tips on the interview. 🙂

Be careful if you do stay close to the aiport and decide to take the MAX to the school. It would take you 1 hr 20 minutes to get there. I found out about this a few hours before the interview. I decided to take a taxi and it cost me $60.
I guess the best way to save money is to stay somewhere in the middle between the airport and the school. That way you don't have to spend too much time to get to the school.
Pharm47 also told me not to use the address at the Pacific U main home page. That is the address of the main campus. You want to go to the Health Science campus which is located in Hillsboro instead of Forest Grove.

CONGRATS to all of you who have received interviews!!!! Dunes Motel on SE 10th Ave is probably the closest you are going to find. It is a 4 minute walk to Pacific. I stayed at Hillsboro Motel - which is also on SE 10th Ave, but a block further. Both have reasonable rates. As far as the MAX - Trust me, unless you are getting a rental, you want to use it. It is very easy.
When you arrive at PDX - head towards baggage claim. On the same level as baggage claim, you will find overhead signs that will direct you to the light rail station. Once at the station, wait for the Red line train to arrive - once there, purchase an Adult, All zones 2 hour ticket for 2 dollars.
Get on the red line - and take it to Beaverton TC. Once at Beaverton, get off and wait for Blue line that goes to Hillsboro (on track 2 right next to the train you got off). Get off the blue line at Tuality Hospital/ SE 8th Ave. The 5 story building right across the street from the station is Pacific University (Is that close enough 😀 ) Its two blocks up to SE 10th Ave, Turn right and walk about 4 blocks and your at Dunes and Hillsboro Motels.

At my school my general chem labs are seperate from the class and given PASS/FAIL. When I filled out my official prereq sheet on the online application I just listed my general chemistry classes as "General Chem w/lab" since the diclaimer makes it clear do not use PASS/FAIL coursework. Do you guys think this will be okay?

Your transcript will show that your lab is Pass/Fail. The adcom may wonder why you didn't write it that way in your worksheet. Pacific may not accept your labs if they are Pass/Fail. I think I would definitely make a phone call to Pacific, so you know where you stand

Hey I got good news and bad news..
The good news is that I just got accepted to LECOM...the bad news is that I still haven't heard from pacific university yet in regards to my status...but thats ok I will probably end up going to LECOM since its closer to where I live and its accreditated...It would have been awesome to go pacific with all the people that are on this thread...its kinda like we all know each other already...but any how I wish everyone the best of luck with the process and pharmacy school...

Congratulations! If you have not received any news from Pacific, that means it has not finished reviewing your application. Good luck to you! They may even put you in the waitlist, you never know. As Vanessa said to a lot of us, no news doesn't mean bad news.

Congrats ANF!!!! LECOM is a good school - did you get accepted to the north campus, or the one in Brandon (or is it bradenton???)? Its always better to have a couple of acceptances so you can choose - accept LECOM, and then if you get into Pacific you will have a hard choice to make... congrats!!!

Hey Tic - the interview session started at 830 on the dot!!! Actual interviews were conducted from 10 through 3 PM - some people were interviewed at 12, some at 230. Regardless of your interview time - when it is done, you are free to go. if you book a flight at 730 PM, you should be fine.

Hey, first of all I am pumped I got an interview for dec 9, I got an email last week saying that my application is complete and it is being sent to committee then the very next day Vanessa calls to set up an interview, my question is about how many get interviews compared to who get accepted, just curious on my chances at this point, thanks

How many people were at the 1st interview date??? We know that at least 22 people (probably more) were accepted from the 1st date. The first set of acceptances from the 2nd interview date should come out today or tomorrow (man I wish we didn't have any clue when they would come out... but we do).

Anybody from 2nd interview hear anything yet? Should be about that time right? i'm still crossing my fingers
Even though I have already been accepted, I still keep checking this link to see if any more SDNers got in. I wish everyone on this thread would get in at Pacific, or any Pharmacy school. Yeah, I think you all should be hearing something real soon. I heard on Nov. 6 that I was accepted and my interview was on the 28th of Oct. And I got my call somewhat later in the evening. I though for sure that today someone would get the thumbs up. Maybe tomorrow?
