hopefully it's good news though. but since they send everything through email, you should have received one too, no matter what status (interview, hold, rejected) you are. maybe you should call kieran to confirm. or check your spam folder!
 
Interviews are sent out by email, I think. And most schools usually don't update the status on PharmCAS, but I'm not sure if Pacific does.

Yes, it was through email. The only thing that ever changed in PharmCAS was essentially the info that made your application complete.

I was put on hold which I am excited as could be about, just wondering if anyone got a rejection yet. Did they provide feedback on why you were rejected or does that need to be requested?

I got an invite too! Nov 13 doesn't seem like very far away....
(Oh, and I submitted my app and Pharmcas around the end of August)
 
Congrats to everyone who got an invite... Make sure you check out the interview feedback section along with the old Pacific threads. A lot of information can be found on this site concerning Pacific.

Also, many current Pacific students on this site. Make sure you seek them out and ask those difficult questions. Would you attend Pacific if you had the chance to do it again? What are your job prospects? Any advice?
 
I was reading through the forum for the previous year and one person mentioned that they never heard back at all so maybe they don't let you know if you're rejected until the very end

hmmm that seems weird!
 
It wouldn't really surprise me because last year I applied to another school and they didn't send me anything. I assumed I either filled out the application wrong or was rejected until a few days before their classes started they sent me an email informing me that after much consideration I didn't make the final cut. This could be a similar situation, but the emailing I got telling me that I'm on the hold status said they'd get back to me late November. So now I get to wait another month 🙁

I'm still waiting to hear from pacific, my complete application was verified on October 4th. I don't know if they have reviewed my application or they are still in the process. It says it could take up to 6 weeks for me to hear from them. But luckily, i got an interview invitation from south university on November 5th, 2010. Does anyone know if pacific is really slow or they are fast? the wait is nerve wrecking.
 
thank you for the encouragement johnnytinx, i hope we will both be invited to the interview with pacific. I also hope my interview with south will go seamless. i really want to get into an accelerated program as i would like to be done faster. what other schools have you applied to? have you heard from anywhere yet?keep me posted please thanks

My application was finished on October 1st, and I called Kieran about a week ago and she said I just missed the first wave of interview invites and the next interview dates are early/mid November, so if we do get an interview it should be somewhere within the next week and a half I am assuming (give or take).

The hold status letter said actually that everyone would hear again late November so actually I am guessing more like a month. Pacific is suuuuuper slow. Read the forum from last year. Lots of people got in in June, July, and even one person the day AFTER orientation started. Good luck everyone. Hope to see you at an interview!
 
So I'm still wondering did everyone who didn't get the first interview get put on hold, or was there anyone who's been rejected yet?
 
I haven't heard anything at all and it makes me nervous...I was confirmed 9/20...I'm scared that no news may mean bad news! Has anyone else not heard anything also? It seems like everyone else has at least heard something!

According to them it takes about 6 weeks to review your application so you'll probably hear back in late November when the rest of the hold people do

I was confirmed 9/21 so maybe you should call admissions. I would be worried for sure
 
How long did it take to have your application confirmed and how long after that did anyone hear about their interview date?

I turned in my app on Sept 29th and it got confirmed the next day. Got my interview invite on Oct 15th.

I got another interview on Nov. 13 with a local school so I will have to turn down my interview invite to Pacific of Oregon. Hopefully someone else can take my spot. Good Luck!

My recommendation is to find a hotel within walking distance of the school or the MAX which is the light rail system because there is quite literally NO parking on campus.

I applied at Oregon State University for early decision which apparently was a mistake because I didn't get an early decision interview (hurts when people in my same classes do and I don't), and it made me late on my Pacific app. Hopefully it won't hurt me too bad that I'm in the 2nd teir. My app was completed around Oct 15th I believe. I guess I could've turned in the supplemental application earlier but I didn't realize that I could without PharmCas.
 
Hotels: Larkspur Landing was great for me.
My friends who stayed at the Econolodge hated it. They all had cold showers in the morning. Also, I believe there is a list sent out with hotel recommendations.

South University-Savannah-interview 11/5
University of Maryland Eastern shore-interview 11/18
Sullivan University-still waiting
Pacific university in oregon-still waiting
LECOM-ERIE-still waiting
MCPHS-Worcester-hold until fall grades.
 
Please let us know what happens.

Mine was completed on Oct 6th, and I still have not heard anything either.

Hi guys. Yikes you guys are all so far ahead of me! Pacific just received my Pharmcas at 8:07am this morning. Still waiting on two recc letters ( one was asked over 4 weeks ago boo) Supplemental is almost done. I cant wait!!

To those whose files are completed around October 7th. I called the admission office today. They said that it really could take up to 6 weeks from the completion date for our files to be evaluated. So we should expect to hear from them within the next 2-3 weeks.

I was complete 9/21. I was put on hold. Gosh this is taking forever!

Wow, that's been a while now. My app was sent in to Oregon on Nov 1 so that means it'll be weeks when I'll hear anything too. 🙁

I just called kieran yesterday, she said for those people whose application was completed around early october like myself, we will hear from the school by around thanksgiving time. good luck to everyone who is going to the interview today. let me know how it goes and what kind of questions they asked and what to expect. let's hope we'll make it to the jan 8th interview. fingers crossed:xf:
 
Just curious what kind of clothes should be worn to a pharmacy interview? Would a nice suit be appropriate?
 
I just submitted my supp app (I know, a little late), but I had a question about the fee. Was just wondering if anyone could help me on here so I don't have to call Pacific tomorrow. Anyway, after I submitted the app it never asked for any type of fee. I had my credit card ready but it never gave me the option to pay and I don't know where to look to see if it already has my credit info and was charged already (I was a Pacific undergraduate so they have a bunch of my info already). Did anyone else run into this problem? I want my app to be completed asap, so I don't want just a simple fee setting me back. Thanks in advance.
 
I may have just found a reason...is the fee included in the PharmCAS fee that I submitted???

No, it is not included. The deadline was on 11/01 so I do not think they will consider your application. It is probably best to call Kieran, but having to explain why your application is late might be an adventure in itself.
