I just found a mistake on my supplement for the pre-req part, I entered the wrong date of completion for one of the courses, is that going to affect my application?? has anyone have this problem before?
 
I thought to myself maybe I should check if this is the student who shared his stats last time, but then I didn't. Guess I should trust myself more! lol when did you apply? What interview did you have? Thanks again!

i applied last year around the deadline (i'm a procrastinator) and i interviewed the 2nd week of february. i really feel like if i applied early i wouldn't have gotten waitlisted for so long. so apply early! 🙂

Gosh this waiting is so long! Is there anyone who was verified as complete before September?

Yes, it really is. It has been since August 4th that I was verified as complete, and therefore it has been since then that I have heard from Pacific. Two months is a long time to wait with no communication, in my opinion. Hopefully we will hear something within the next few weeks. I would anticipate the competition for the first interview in November is actually pretty heavy since they will be taking into consideration ALL applicants who applied all the way from July until October. That's quite a bit of applicants for one interview day...
 
The interview will come sooner than you guys think! (one month?) I'll be at the interview for the student panel so I'm looking forward to meeting you guys 🙂

Anyone know how rejections preinterview worked last year? Did you get a letter?
 
Hey everybody,


Im still working on my app and studying for the PCAT and waiting for my last recommendation but I hoping to submit my application by October 30. Will it be too late for admission consideration? I heard its a rolling admission and that the interviews are coming out soon. How much of a disadvantage am I by submitting it late October?
 
*blink blink* isn't that kinda the definition of rolling admissions?

Well, considering interview invitations haven't even gone out yet, I would think you're fine. I doubt you'll get the November interview, but most likely January.
As I've mentioned before, I submitted in July hoping to be considered "early", only to find out I could have submitted anytime up until the end of October and still been reviewed with the same applicants.

Good question. I only know invites last year were through email. I don't recall reading any posts about pre-interview rejections or holds. People only post their good news, ya know?? I am curious though!!
Also wanderkind, we should hear something by the end of this week apparently!!! Exciting!!!

My acceptance for an interview was through e-mail so I would assume it would be similar for rejections as well. 🙂

Holy cow! Really? Now I am scared! I feel like I ended up being confirmed kinda later! I sure hope I am considered for the November one. It would be ROUGH to wait till January! Good luck Mandy! Hopefully we'll get to meet Nov. 13!

EEEEK! I am so worried! I have only been verified since Sept 21! And it says it can take up to 6 weeks! I bet I didn't make it in time for the first interview. Boo!

I don't know....I think if you were verified by October 1st, you could be in the running for November interview. I have no clue, but that would be my guess.

What are your stats? GPA, pharm experience, extra curriculars, etc?

Yeah, got the email invitation a couple of hours ago. Will be declining though because I recently found out I was accepted to my local school 🙂
I really liked Pacific, so it definitely would have been a top choice had I not been offered a seat locally! Good job to others who have been invited and good luck to those waiting!!!

Sorry I forgot to answer this:
GPA is 3.8 cumm, 4.0 science. Hospital pharm tech for a year and a half, LORs from a PharmD at work, a Chem professor and my old boss in the Navy.
Volunteered as a GED tutor at a youth services organization.

EDIT: I don't have an undergrad degree.

Cum. gpa = 3.6 Science gpa= 3.8
Bachelor's in psychology from UCLA
I've been taking the prerequisites at community colleges because I started pre-pharmacy post-grad.
Volunteered at local hospital pharmacy for ~2 years. Work full time at an insurance agency (I know it has nothing to do with pharmacy but gotta pay the bills right?)

Try not to be too discouraged. There are plenty of interview sessions left. 🙂

I got an interview too!!! So excited 😀

My stats were pretty low, I applied with an overall GPA 3.25... I guess my pharmacy and work experience helped? I work at Rite Aid as a clerk/tech, interned at a nuclear pharmacy, volunteer at Western Medical Center, and intern at a stem cell lab~

oops! forgot to say, I got my bs in bio sci at UCI but transferred in from a CC~
 
I got my interview invite too.. Anyone from California driving there, or will you guys be flying? Also, how do you guys plan to get around in Oregon?

does anyone know if all the interview invites for the november date were sent out already? i completed everything and was confirmed in early august, but i didn't get an interview invite 🙁 i guess maybe some part of my application wasn't up to par...
 
congratulations to everyone who's heard back 🙂 to those who haven't, don't be discouraged! there are a lot of interview dates! looking forward to meeting some of you on the 13th! i'll be there answering questions on the student panel. or if you guys have any questions here on SDN, i can try to address them as well. once again, congrats!

Yeah...I am in the same boat as you...i got my confirmation back on 8/5 yet no interview invites from them🙁...im so nervous...
 
Do they send out the invites for a particular interview date all at once? And for later interview dates, do they send out those invites later as well?

I'm so anxious b/c I haven't received an invite from any of the schools I applied to 😕 My Pacific app wasn't confirmed til 10/11...I wish I had applied way earlier 🙁
 
I just got an e-mail saying I was on hold. better than a rejection I guess? :scared:
 
i was put on hold too...i was really hoping to get interviewed earlier *sigh*
